Southern Baptist Convention Launches Mosque Building Program To Promote “Religious Liberty” And “Niceness”

Prophecy Sign:  The Apostate Last Days Church

We aren't quite sure which bible some of the good folks over at the Southern Baptist Convention are reading, but nowhere in our bible do we find God/Jesus Christ asking the Churches to help build houses of worship for other religions and other gods.  Quite the opposite, Almighty God was very adamant in his command to ancient Israel to completely destroy any and all sacred sites of the other religions worshiped by the nations that would soon be overrun by the Israelite nation.

Destroy completely all the places on the high mountains, on the hills and under every spreading tree, where the nations you are dispossessing worship their gods.  Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and burn their Asherah poles in the fire; cut down the idols of their gods and wipe out their names from those places. Deuteronomy 12:2-3 NIV

And then there is the growing idea in not only the mainline protestant churches, but many evangelical churches as well, (hello Rob Bell), that there is nothing at all wrong with homosexuality.  In fact one Episcopalian Priest, (article below), has said that even though the holy scriptures seems to condemn the practice and even calls it a sin, she, (the Priest), in her own mind considers LGBTQ to be good and virtuous. The bible has something to say about this:

There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death. Proverbs 14:12 NIV

Now we are not saying that the Christian church should go out and burn down every mosque or temple unaffiliated with Christianity.  Nor are we saying that any LGBTQ person should be lit up at the stake.  No, what we are saying is that the Christian church needs to get back into the bible and begin preaching what is right rather than pandering to what is nice.  Maybe this pandering by the SBC is why some 200,000 members have disappeared from its membership.

Southern Baptist Convention Launches Mosque Building Program To Promote “Religious Liberty” And “Niceness”
The Southern Baptist Convention has announced plans to launch an ambitious new program to build mosques all across the nation in order to help foster religious tolerance and “a general sense of niceness” towards all. The massive mosque proliferation plan will be launched through a denomination wide “Mosques Across America” building fund that will appeal to SBC members on the basis of love for “religious liberty” and “the God-given right of anyone to worship any god anyone wants, including Allah.”

SBC Membership Declines by 200K in 2015
The United States' largest Protestant denomination lost approximately 204,000 members in 2015, according to recently released statistics. LifeWay Christian Resources released the Annual Church Profile statistics Tuesday, which tracked among other things the SBC's total membership, worship attendance, and number of congregations. Total membership in the SBC in 2015 was approximately 15.294 million, which is a decrease from the approximately 15.499 million reported in 2014. This represents a 1.32 percent decrease.

Episcopal Priest: LGBTQ People Will ‘Revitalize Christianity’
In a recent essay in Salon Magazine, the Reverend Elizabeth M. Edman argues for the power of “queer virtue” to combat “heteronormativity” and revitalize a Christianity that is too wedded to traditional ideas of human sexuality and marriage. An Episcopal priest and a political strategist, Edman attempts to redeem the concept of “Pride” as central to the LGBT movement and integral to an authentically Christian life. In her essay—excerpted from the book titled Queer Virtue: What LGBTQ People Know About Life and Love and How It Can Revitalize Christianity—Edman laments that in Christian scripture and hymnody, pride is “condemned as a glaring and destructive human sin,” when in her mind it is a good and virtuous attitude.
