Pope Francis Meets With Evangelical, Pentecostal Leaders in John 17 Spirit
Prophecy Sign: The future global religious system, (of the False Prophet)
The current Pope is pounding the pavement trying to get everyone from the Muslims to Pentecostals to get together in the spirit of unity, (because we all worship the same God right??). A couple years ago the Pope even apologized to Christians, not of the Catholic persuasion, for all the terrible persecution done to them by people 'calling themselves Catholic'. What the Pope didn't apologize for, was for the persecution that came right from the top as Pope after Pope sanctioned centuries of this evil persecution done to the true body of Christ. To apologize for prior Popes would be to admit that the Popes are indeed fallible and thus have no rightful claim as a 'Vicar of Christ'. (We recommend you read Dave Hunt's 'A Woman rides the Beast' which details the entire evil history of the Roman Church hierarchy).
But onward and downward, the Pope continues to build the future Whore of Babylon, the false religious system which will exist at the time of the Antichrist and False Prophet.
The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. The name written on her forehead was a mystery:Pope Francis Meets With Evangelical, Pentecostal Leaders in John 17 Spirit
Babylon the great, the mother of prostitutes, and of the abominations of the earth. Revelation 17:4-5 NIV
Pope Francis and several prominent Evangelical and Pentecostal leaders met in Rome last Friday to discuss areas of mutual agreement and where they respectfully disagreed. The aim of the gathering, which had no official agenda, was to build unity between Christian traditions that have historic enmity. The Rev. Dr. Geoff Tunnicliffe, former secretary general of the World Evangelical Alliance and chairman of the Advisory Board of Christian Media Corporation, said in an interview with The Christian Post Tuesday, that there was a John 17 spirit during the two meetings he had with Pope Francis. Tunnicliffe noted that formal meetings with the pope are often said to last only 30 minutes but one informal meeting with Francis and Evangelical and Charismatic leaders lasted over two hours. Those at the gathering sensed the presence of God, according to Tunnicliffe, and a unity of the Spirit as their discussions focused on Jesus Christ even as they talked about theological differences.
Pope apologizes for the Catholic persecution of Pentecostals - 2014
Pope Francis traveled today to the southern Italian city of Caserta to meet some old Protestant friends and to pray with them, a trip that culminated with an apology from the pope for persecution of Christianity’s burgeoning Pentecostal movement by the Catholic Church. “I ask for your forgiveness for those who, calling themselves Catholic, didn’t understand we’re brothers,” he said, receiving a standing ovation. Francis also made a plug for greater unity among Christians, calling for “a church that is one in its diversity.”
