Prophecy Sign: Increased Knowledge - Genetic Manipulation
Talk about corrupting all flesh. Scientists are secretly meeting to consider creating a synthetic human genome which they can then use to do everything from cloning human beings to creating humans without the necessity of parents. On top of that, scientists are also creating chimeras that are both human and animal and are also working on merging humans with technology, (neuro-enhancements).
Something like this was happening during the days of Noah and Jesus Christ warned that as the last days come to an end, the very same would be taking place. Sure looks like we have reached that point.
As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Matthew 24:37 NIV
The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. Genesis 6:11-12 KJV
Scientists Hold Secret Meeting to Consider Creating a Synthetic Human Genome
Scientists are now contemplating the creation of a synthetic human genome, meaning they would use chemicals to manufacture all the DNA contained in human chromosomes. The prospect is spurring both intrigue and concern in the life sciences community, because it might be possible — if someone were able to create a totally artificial genome — to implant that genome into embryos and create human beings without parents.
But such an attempt would raise numerous ethical issues. Could scientists create humans with certain kinds of traits, perhaps people born and bred to be soldiers? Or might it be possible to make copies of specific people? Scientists and ethicists are already raising concerns about using new gene-editing techniques that could change individual traits in embryos. But it would be possible to make much more extensive changes by synthesizing an entire genome.
Human cloning within TEN YEARS: Scientists in secret talks to copy DNA
Closed-door discussions were held by 150 of the world’s top scientists to discuss recreating a synthetic human genome in its entirety. Organisers of the talk, which took place at Boston’s Harvard Medical School, said the researchers want to synthesise “a complete human genome in a cell line within a period of 10 years”. A project known as ‘HGP-Write: Testing Large Synthetic Genomes in Cells’, carries on from the 2003 HGP (Human Genome Project) which was to establish what the human genome was made up of. While conventional cloning needs to be sourced from actual DNA, synthetic cloning would use synthetic DNA and would require no natural source. It has prompted some to argue it could create an elitist civilisation.
Will technology allow us to transcend the human condition?
While it may sound like something straight out of a sci-fi film, the U.S. intelligence community is considering “human augmentation” and its possible implications for national security. As described in the National Intelligence Council’s 2012 long-term strategic analysis document — the fifth report of its kind — human augmentation is seen as a “game-changer.” The report detailed the potential benefits of brain-machine interfaces and neuro-enhancements, noting that “moral and ethical challenges . . . are inevitable.”
In Search For Cures, Scientists Create Embryos That Are Both Animal And Human
A handful of scientists around the United States are trying to do something that some people find disturbing: make embryos that are part human, part animal. The researchers hope these embryos, known as chimeras, could eventually help save the lives of people with a wide range of diseases.
