Egyptian president calls on Israelis, Palestinians to take historic steps to peace

Prophecy Sign:  The future seven year Covenant/Peace Treaty

The refrain, 'Give Peace a Chance', (John Lennon - The Beatles), is the clarion call of the Egyptian President who says its time for Israel and the Palestinians to come together in peace as did Israel and Egypt some decades ago.  Even the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is admitting that perhaps the Palestinians might have been guilty of 'incitement', (you think??), and Israel should just get over it and leave it in the past and work on a peace agreement with him and his people.  Soon and very soon a peace deal will in fact be negotiated and will be the kick-off point for the coming time of Jacob's Trouble, (the Tribulation).

He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him. Daniel 9:27 NIV

Egyptian president calls on Israelis, Palestinians to take historic steps to peace
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi made an unusual impromptu appeal on Tuesday to both Israelis and Palestinians to take historic steps for peace, just as his country had done in 1979.  “If by our combined efforts and real desire, we can all achieve a solution to this problem and find hope for the Palestinians and security for the Israelis, history will write a new page that will be no less and might even be more of an achievement than the signing of the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel forty years ago,” Sisi said during a speech in the southern city of Assiut.

Netanyahu Praises Sisi’s Calls for Talks, Says Israel Will Work with Arabs for Peace
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hailed Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi’s recent push for Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations, saying in a statement Tuesday that Israel is “ready to participate” in efforts to advance diplomacy. “I welcome Egyptian President El-Sisi’s remarks and his willingness to make every effort to advance a future of peace and security between us and the Palestinians and the peoples of the region,” Netanyahu stated. “Israel is ready to participate with Egypt and other Arab states in advancing both the diplomatic process and stability in the region. I appreciate President El-Sisi’s work and also draw encouragement from his leadership on this important issue.” Sisi said in a live televised speech Tuesday that there was a “real opportunity” for Israelis and Palestinians to make peace. He called on the parties to take lessons from the “real and stable peace” between Israel and Egypt.

Abbas: We Are Guilty of Incitement, But ‘Let’s Leave Everything in the Past’
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Tuesday called on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to accept the French initiative for reviving the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations, saying his failure to do so “will bring the Islamic State to Israel.” “If we don’t revive the peace process, the violence and radicalism from Syria will come here,” Abbas said. “The Islamic State and the Al-Nusra Front will reach Israel and the West Bank.”
