Syria vows to use ‘any means necessary’ to take back Golan

Prophecy Sign:  The future Middle-East War(s)

The Golan Heights overlook the nation of Israel and made for a formidable launch site of any attack of aggression that was made against Israel prior to 1967 when Israel captured the Heights. Needless to say Israel will never give up that parcel of land no matter what the world demands it do.  Should Syria make good on it's threat to use force to recapture the Golan, then that may be the end of Damascus according to bible prophecy.

A prophecy against Damascus: "See, Damascus will no longer be a city but will become a heap of ruins. In the evening, sudden terror! Before the morning, they are gone! This is the portion of those who loot us, the lot of those who plunder us. Isaiah 17:1,14 NIV

Syria vows to use ‘any means necessary’ to take back Golan
Syria hit back at Israel Sunday hours after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed that the Golan Heights will remain in Israeli hands. Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad warned that his war-torn state would retake the plateau by any means necessary. Netanyahu had convened the first-ever cabinet meeting in the Golan Heights, and used the occasion to declare that the territory seized by Israel in the 1967 Six Day War would forever remain a part of Israel. Mekdad declared that the “Arab Syrian Golan Heights” is still occupied territory according to international law and would eventually be taken back from the Israelis. “All options are on the table for getting back the occupied territory from Israel,” Mekdad told the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen news channel. “We are prepared to do anything in order to return the Golan to the Syrian motherland, including using military force.”

Netanyahu: Golan Heights will forever remain part of Israel
The Golan Heights will forever remain part of Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared Sunday, in a signal to Russia and the United States that the strategic plateau should be excluded from any deal on Syria's future. Israel captured the Golan Heights in the 1967 Six-Day War and officially annexed it in 1981, in a move that has not won international recognition.
