Islamic nations call emergency meeting on Golan Heights ‘escalation’

Prophecy Sign:  The future Middle-East War(s)

Israel's insistence that the Golan Heights will never be under the control of any nation other than Israel has got the Islamic world all in a huff, (not to mention the United Nations as well).  Syria has said it would do whatever is necessary to claim back the Golan, and likely similar talk has occurred at the emergency meeting of Islamic nations, (cunningly conspiring against God's own).  Then you have Russia sniffing around looking to snag a part of Israel's off shore Leviathan gas fields, (the hook in the jaw?).  All the pieces for the future Middle-East war, (Psalm 83, Ezekiel 38/39), all falling into place.

O God, do not remain silent; do not turn a deaf ear, do not stand aloof, O God. See how your enemies growl, how your foes rear their heads.  With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish.  “Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation, so that Israel’s name is remembered no more.”  Psalm 83:1-4 NIV

Islamic nations call emergency meeting on Golan Heights ‘escalation’
The world’s largest body of Islamic nations has called for an emergency meeting over statements made last week by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Israel would never relinquish control over the Golan Heights. The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation will meet Tuesday at its headquarters in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to discuss “Israeli escalation against the occupied Syrian Golan,” joining others in the region to express alarm over Netanyahu’s declaration. During a cabinet visit to the area last Sunday, Netanyahu said that Israel does not oppose current efforts to reach a political agreement to end the Syrian civil war, but that Israel’s boundary line with the country will not change, referring to Jerusalem’s hold on the plateau.

Israel’s Vow to Keep Golan Brings ‘Deep Concern’ at Security Council
Israel’s assertion last week that it will never give up the Golan Heights, captured from Syria in the 1967 war, drew a terse response on Tuesday from the United Nations Security Council, which said that a 35-year-old resolution rejecting Israeli sovereignty over the disputed land remains in effect.

Russia wants share in Israeli gas
Gazprom's interest in Israeli gas reservoir Leviathan is a strategic issue for Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Russian press reported at the end of last week that Russia was seeking to enter the Israeli natural gas industry, following a meeting in Russia last Thursday between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. It is believed that Putin wants to take part in the development of the Leviathan gas reservoir. This was not the first time that Russia has tried to strengthen its foothold in the Middle East through control of gas reservoirs.

Despite Significant Gains in Relationship With Russia, Israel Must Be Wary of Putin’s True Motivations
The relationship between Israel and Russia has been strengthened to unprecedented levels under Russia’s current president but recent actions by Moscow in the Middle East should have Israel on alert, an international Middle East policy expert asserted in a recent op-ed published by a prominent American think tank
Putin’s actions in the Middle East, which run counter to his support of Israel, should serve as a warning about the Russian leader’s true regional intentions, according to the analysis. “Ultimately, Putin cares more about politics than anything else — sticking a finger in the eye of the West and, more broadly, weakening the West.”
