Prophecy Sign: Perilous Times - Environmental Destruction
Think the nuclear disaster at Fukushima Japan is long over and done with? Think again. Not even robots can get close to the melted fuel rods that continue to spew radiation into the cooling waters being used to keep the place from exploding. At the time of the Fukushima disaster all the authorities were reassuring everyone that there was nothing to worry about, that all was in hand. What a baldfaced lie that turned out to be. According to the former Japaneses Prime Minister, his nation came within a 'paper-thin margin' of a huge disaster that would have required the evacuation of the entire city of Tokyo and millions of others.
Now just think what would happen if a major 9.0 or greater earthquake shook those areas of the globe peppered with nuclear reactors, or if an EMP blast fried the power grid, (and subsequent nuclear cooling systems)? It could become an epic disaster that would lead to the contamination of much of the worlds fresh water supplies, (perhaps even a third??). Just as bible prophecy warns of.
……. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter. Revelation 8:11 NIV
Fukushima: Tokyo was on the brink of nuclear catastrophe, admits former prime minister
Japan's prime minister at the time of the 2011 earthquake and tsunami has revealed that the country came within a “paper-thin margin” of a nuclear disaster requiring the evacuation of 50 million people. In an interview with The Telegraph to mark the fifth anniversary of the tragedy, Naoto Kan described the panic and disarray at the highest levels of the Japanese government as it fought to control multiple meltdowns at the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power station. He said he considered evacuating the capital, Tokyo, along with all other areas within 160 miles of the plant, and declaring martial law. “The future existence of Japan as a whole was at stake,” he said. “Something on that scale, an evacuation of 50 million, it would have been like a losing a huge war.”
Fukushima's ground zero: No place for man or robot
The robots sent in to find highly radioactive fuel at Fukushima's nuclear reactors have “died”; a subterranean "ice wall" around the crippled plant meant to stop groundwater from becoming contaminated has yet to be finished. And authorities still don’t how to dispose of highly radioactive water stored in an ever mounting number of tanks around the site. Five years ago, one of the worst earthquakes in history triggered a 10-metre high tsunami that crashed into the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power station causing multiple meltdowns. Nearly 19,000 people were killed or left missing and 160,000 lost their homes and livelihoods. Today, the radiation at the Fukushima plant is still so powerful it has proven impossible to get into its bowels to find and remove the extremely dangerous blobs of melted fuel rods.
Five years after the meltdown, is it safe to live near Fukushima?
