Prophecy Sign: The European Superstate
The future of the European Union and the eurozone does not look too bright. Both the migrant crisis and the shaking global economic situations have the potential to break the union apart. In fact, Russia may be pushing this scenario to occur, (article below).
What will this mean for the idea of an all powerful European Superstate? It may mean a rise and fall situation whereby the entire union collapses only to rise again with far fewer members. Gone will be the weaker nations such as Greece, but member states such as Germany and France will coalesce together in a much stronger and far more powerful entity.
“He gave me this explanation: ‘The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. Daniel 7:23-24 NIV
DAY THE EU FELL APART: Leaders rip chunks out of each other on worst day of migrant chaos
Europe was plunged into unprecedented crisis tonight as EU leaders lined up to rip chunks out of each other on the worst day of migrant chaos to date. Once again the cavernous divisions between different EU countries were laid bare for all to see, with Angela Merkel angrily defending Germany's role in the chaos amid sniping from other member states. In a day of unprecedented migrant violence thousands of refugees smashed down a border fence between Macedonia and Greece whilst inhabitants of the Calais Jungle camp set fires and hurled rocks at police as they attempted to avoid eviction. But the carnage wrought in those riots was matched by the diplomatic damage being done to the EU as member states turned on each other in savage fashion.
Moscow and Syria ‘weaponizing’ refugee crisis in order to ‘overwhelm’ and ‘break’ Europe, NATO chief says
Vladimir Putin is purposefully creating a refugee crisis in order to “overwhelm” and “break” Europe, NATO’s military commander in Europe warned yesterday. Gen. Philip Breedlove, the Supreme Allied Commander in Europe and the head of the U.S. European Command, accused the Russian president and Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad of a campaign of bombardment against civilian centres. “Together, Russia and the Assad regime are deliberately weaponizing migration in an attempt to overwhelm European structures and break European resolve,” Breedlove told the Senate armed services committee.
Fresh recession will cause eurozone collapse, warns Swiss bank
A recession in Europe could lead to the collapse of the eurozone, as the single currency would buckle under the political turmoil unleashed by a fresh downturn, a leading investment bank has warned. In a research note titled "Close to the edge", economists at Swiss bank Credit Suisse warned the fate of monetary union hangs in the balance if Europe's policymakers are unable to ward off another global slump and quell anti-euro populism. "The viability of the euro is contingent on the current recovery," said Peter Foley at Credit Suisse. "If the euro area were to relapse back into recession, it is not clear it would endure."
