Prophecy Sign: The future seven year covenant/peace agreement
So once again we look to dance around the circle of pointless peace talks. All sides will say they will attend and all sides will remain steadfast in the respective positions which will lead nowhere. All sides will head home and blame the other, (with 99% of the blame being pointed at Israel).
It will take an amazing feat of negotiating skills from someone the world accepts as a messianic world leader to bring about a covenant of peace for the Middle-East. But that is just what bible prophecy says will happen as the future Antichrist will broker a deal to last some seven years. Israel will jump on board with this future agreement only to learn later of its falsehood which will have disastrous results for the Jewish State. Only the return of Jesus Christ to earth will be able to save Israel and the Jews from annihilation.
You boast, "We have entered into a covenant with death, with the realm of the dead we have made an agreement. When an overwhelming scourge sweeps by, it cannot touch us, for we have made a lie our refuge and falsehood our hiding place." Isaiah 28:15 NIV
Israelis, Palestinians secretly discuss French peace initiative
A French Foreign Ministry official told Al-Monitor on condition of anonymity that Paris is holding discreet talks with officials on the Israeli and Palestinian sides to explore whether a common basis for such an international conference could be established. According to the official, who is himself involved in those secret talks, there was no flat rejection by either of the parties on the principle of an international conference. Yet, the initial gap between the parties on the necessary foundations and terms of reference for such a conference is very significant — possibly insurmountable.
France presents Israel, Palestinians with peace planIsraeli and Palestinian officials say France has presented the two sides with a proposal for an international peace conference. France is preparing the conference to bring together the two parties and their American, European and Arab partners in order to revive the peace process. France says it will recognize a Palestinian state if its efforts fail.
Israel would consider invitation to peace talks with Palestinians: spokesman
Israel would consider a French invitation to peace talks with the Palestinians, but believes France has made a mistake by saying it will recognize a Palestinian state if the talks fail, an Israeli government official said on Saturday. "If and when we get an invitation to a conference, we will examine it and respond to it," the official, who declined to be named, said in a statement. French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius told foreign diplomats on Friday that if the conference he proposes hit a wall, "well ... in this case, we need to face our responsibilities by recognizing the Palestinian state".
