UN chief seeks to breathe fresh life into peace talks

Prophecy Sign:  The future seven year covenant of peace

He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him. Daniel 9:27 NIV

A future peace accord will be brokered between Israel and the world in which Israel will be guaranteed a false period of peace. We know this deal will not last because the Antichrist will break the deal himself halfway through the seven year agreement.  We are also told that after the deal is signed, the world will dance to the tune of 'peace and safety', but sudden destruction will come on the world very soon afterwards.

While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 1 Thessalonians 5:3 NIV

It is likely given the context of Daniel 9:27 that the Antichrist will confirm, (put his stamp of approval), on an existing agreement that has not yet been ratified.  So any reports on future peace talks and negotiations should be watched very carefully as they may become the basis of this future covenant.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will host a ministerial meeting of key global players trying to end the decades-old Israeli-Palestinian conflict on Sept. 30 during the annual high-level session of the General Assembly, the United Nations announced Friday. Spokesman Stephane Dujarric said that in addition to foreign ministers from the Quartet of Mideast mediators — the United States, United Nations, European Union and Russia — the secretary-general is inviting the Arab League secretary-general and the foreign ministers of Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia to join the meeting. Negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians have been stalled since the United States failed to broker a peace agreement in early 2014.

PM Says He is 'Ready' to Meet with Abbas for Negotiations
During the meeting, the women told Netanyahu about why their movement was established and asked him to initiate and lead a process to come to an agreement with the Palestinians. The Prime Minister expressed his desire to return to the negotiating table and said, "I have no preconditions for negotiations. I am ready now to go to Ramallah or any other place in order to meet and hold direct negotiations without preconditions."  "We want to conduct negotiations with the Palestinians," he continued. "The solution is two states for two peoples - a demilitarized Palestinian state that recognizes the national state of the Jewish People."  "If you intend to meet with Abu Mazen [PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas], tell him that I am ready to meet if he is," Netanyahu concluded.
