Italy Fears ISIS Invasion From Libya

Prophecy Sign:  Perilous times and frightening events

The Prophecy of the Popes indicates that the final, (112th), Pope will see the destruction of the City of Rome.  The current Pope is purported to be that final Pontiff.  Watching what is going on in the world today, one can see that this secular prophecy might actually come true with Rome in the sights of ISIS.

Bible prophecy also foretells of the destruction of a great City called 'Babylon', (Revelation 18), during the dark days of the coming Tribulation.  We just aren't quite sure which present day city might be the one destined to fulfill this biblical prophecy. Maybe Rome, maybe not.

So while the armies of Islam look eagerly to the West with destruction in their eyes, the blinders are definitely covering the eyes of the Obama administration who continue to refuse to see the threat.

Terrified at her torment, they will stand far off and cry: “‘Woe! Woe to you, great city, you mighty city of Babylon! In one hour your doom has come!’ Revelation 18:10 NIV

Italy and Vatican on guard after ISIL threat
The Italian government is on high alert after threats from the Islamic State called Italy "the nation signed with the blood of the cross." And the country would probably need help to confront the militant group. Italy is one of a handful of major Western counties that has not been victim of a large-scale terror assault since the Sept. 11 attacks in the USA. The Vatican — the de facto seat of worldwide Christianity — is in Rome, so the city could be a target. Italian officials fear extremists could enter the country amid the growing tide of refugees arriving by boat from North Africa. About 500 extra troops have been stationed to guard symbolic targets in Rome and monitor the streets of the capital for suspicious activity.

3,000 ISIS infiltrators may enter Turkey, plan to attack diplomatic targets – report
Up to 3,000 trained jihadists are seeking to cross into Turkey from Syria and Iraq, with intentions of striking diplomatic targets belonging to anti-ISIS coalition partners, the Turkish intelligence service told the police in an internal memo. "The jihadist militants could be working on armed or bombing attacks in Ankara and Istanbul against the diplomatic missions of the countries involved in the US-led anti-ISIL [ISIS] coalition,” said the Hurriyet newspaper, citing the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MİT).

State Dept. Spokeswoman: 'Christian Militant Group' Among 'Extremist Threats We Face'
People talk a lot about Islamic extremism and ISIS/ISIL (the guys who behead Christians, among others), but what about Joseph Kony and his Lord's Resistance Army? "I don't remember people talking about that as much anymore, but that's a Christian militant group," State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on Wednesday. She was making the point that terrorism "is not just a threat in one place"  -- and it's not just Islamic:

Obama: West at War with Islam an 'Ugly Lie'
President Barack Obama insisted Thursday that Islamist terrorist groups committing atrocities from the Middle East to Africa to Europe do not represent Islam, calling the idea that the West is at war with Islam "an ugly lie." The president addressed delegates from more than 60 countries at the closing session of a summit on "Countering Violent Extremism," hosted by the U.S. State Department in Washington. Obama said the nations gathered "must remain unwavering in our fight against terrorist organizations."
