ISIS says its flag will wave over Jerusalem, even if the Jews don't like it

Prophecy Sign:  The coming Middle-East wars - Psalm 83

Prior to the 1967 Israel/Arab war the Arab leaders where full of bellicose rhetoric, (see quotes below), and thought for sure they would wipe the tiny nation of Israel off the map.  Didn't happen, and instead the tiny Jewish nation ran roughshod over the Arabs and grabbed a bunch of new territory, (Sinai Peninsula, West Bank, East Jerusalem).  Once again the Arab world is full of bellicose with threats to wipe out Israel.  Once again they are conspiring together in one accord, just as the writer of Psalm 83 predicted long ago.

See how your enemies growl, how your foes rear their heads. With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish. "Come," they say, "let us destroy them as a nation, so that Israel's name is remembered no more." With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against you. Psalm 83:2-5 NIV

ISIS says its flag will wave over Jerusalem, even if the Jews don't like it
The Islamic State has threatened to make it all the way to Jerusalem "even if the Jews and Crusaders despise it." The threat appears in the foreword of the fifth edition of the organization's official magazine, Dabiq - named for a town in the suburbs of Syria's Aleppo, in which the group's members believe their will be a great war between Muslims and the West after its armies conquer Syria. In the foreword, Islamic State announces that it plans to widen its rule into the Arabian Peninsula, the Sinai Peninsula, Yemen, Libya and Algeria. The organization vows that its flag will fly over Jerusalem, as well as over Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia.

Abbas: Palestinians will never recognize Israel as Jewish state
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said Saturday that the Palestinians would never recognize Israel as a Jewish state, and accused Israel of establishing an apartheid government. The Palestinian leader was speaking in Cairo at an emergency session of the Arab League with foreign ministers from around the Arab world. His remarks came following a week of intense debate among Israeli politicians about a Knesset bill which would enshrine Israel’s status as a Jewish state in law.

Into the fray: The Arabs’ war against the Jews

"Our forces are now entirely ready not only to repulse any aggression, but to initiate it ourselves, and to destroy the Zionist presence in the Arab homeland of Palestine. The Syrian army, with its finger on the trigger, is united. I believe the time has come to begin a battle of annihilation".
– Hafez Assad, then Syrian defense minister, later president, May 20, 1967

"We will not accept any... coexistence with Israel The existence of Israel is in itself an aggression...against the Palestinian people".
– Gamal Abdel Nasser, president of Egypt, to the international media, May 28, 1967

"The existence of Israel is an error which must be rectified. This is our opportunity to wipe out the ignominy which has been with us since 1948. Our goal is clear – to wipe Israel off the map".
– Abdul Rahman Arif, president of Iraq, May 31, 1967

The Arabs have been waging war against the Jews and their presence in the Land of Israel for over a hundred years; they have been waging war against the Jewish political sovereignty for almost seven decades. The war has ebbed and flowed over the years, but as I have pointed out in recent columns, we are entering a new, and particularly menacing, phase of ongoing Arab aggression aimed at the annihilation of the Jews and their nation-state. As Shmuley Boteach wrote in his column earlier this week, the sense is that “it’s open season on the Jews of Israel.”
