Top security officials urge PM to restart peace process

Prophecy Sign:  The future seven year false covenant of peace

The pressure is back on Israel to yet again start up the stalled peace process.  From Israeli security officials, to various European nations, to the Obama administration, all are putting the full-court press on the Netanyahu government to concede to the demands of the Palestinians to reach that elusive goal of a two state solution. Obama has even threatened Israel that he may pull the security council veto of any unilateral Palestinian move if Israel doesn't get with the global agenda of peace, (at the cost of Israeli security).

He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him. Daniel 9:27 NIV

Top security officials urge PM to restart peace process
Over one hundred high ranking security officials, including two former Mossad heads and three retired police chiefs, issued a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, urging the Israeli leader to strive for peace and to work towards relaunching negotiations with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, with the intent of reaching a viable, two state solution. In the letter, which is being published as an advertisement in several Israeli newspapers, the officials further contend that Israel has the ability to reach a comprehensive peace agreement not only with the Palestinians, but with a number of key nations throughout the Middle East as well.

PLO to Submit Draft for UN 'Statehood Bid' Later This Month
The Palestinian Authority will submit a draft resolution to the UN Security Council later this month calling for an end date for "Israeli occupation," a senior official said on Tuesday. The text, which the PA has been preparing for weeks, is expected to be vetoed by permanent member the United States. But officials in Ramallah have said that will not deter them after round upon round of failed peace talks with Israel. "No other solution has been proposed by the United States" to achieve peace and the establishment of a Palestinian state, senior Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) official Wassel Abu Yusef told AFP.
