Pope Francis: A new stage in relations between Catholics and Evangelicals

Prophecy Sign:  The coming global religious system

Evangelical leaders, from Kenneth Copeland to Rick Warren, are all jumping on the Pope Francis bandwagon along with a merry band of religious leaders from an alphabet soup of world religions, (Buddhist, Hindu, Islam, Jewish, Sikh, Taoist - did we miss anybody??).  Seems the bible predicted such a thing would happen as all the religions of the world glad hand each other and formulate the coming global religious world order.

The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. The name written on her forehead was a mystery: Babylon the great the mother of prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth. Revelation 17:4-5 NIV

Pope Francis: A new stage in relations between Catholics and Evangelicals
In a meeting on Thursday with a delegation from the World Evangelical Alliance, Pope Francis expressed his confidence that the Holy Spirit “can inaugurate a new stage in the relations between Catholics and Evangelicals—a stage that allows us to realize more fully the will of the Lord to bring the Gospel even to the furthest ends of the earth.”
The Holy Father frankly acknowledged the presence of divisions among Christians “from the beginning,” and noted that “rivalries and conflicts” continue between Christian communities. “Such situations,” he said, “weaken our capacity to fulfil the command of the Lord to preach the Gospel to all nations.” Christians would be able to better proclaim the Gospel if they could overcome their differences so that, together, they might spread the Word of God and witness to Christian charity.

According to the Catholic News Service, those of the Jewish, Islamic, Buddhist, Hindu, Jaina Shasana, Taoist and Sikh religions will be present, as well as Roman Catholics and professing Christians.

In a first, Washington National Cathedral to host Friday Muslim prayer service
Washington National Cathedral, known for presidential funerals and other major spiritual services, will host a Muslim prayer service for the first time Friday. The cathedral, part of the Episcopal Church, has long held high-profile interfaith events, and some mosques hold services in synagogues or churches if they need overflow space. But organizers said Monday that they are seeking to make a statement by having Muslim leaders come and hold their midday service in such a visible Christian house of worship.
