Climatologist: 30-Year Cold Spell Strikes Earth

Prophecy Sign:  Anguish and perplexity at the anomalous weather patterns

So while the truly fanatical adherents still pound the drums of global climate change, some real scientists have come to the conclusion that its all about that big ole glowing disc in the sky. The amount of solar activity that our sun generates has far more to do with global climate change that anything mankind can do.  But still the howls of protest and anguish are uttered from the fanatical climate change zealots as they drive themselves mad with the thought that the world is doomed to destruction.

Meanwhile in the real world, the winters are getting worse and we may be entering another long period of global cooling, (just as existed back in the 1970's).

There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. Luke 21:25 NIV

The tempest comes out from its chamber, the cold from the driving winds. The breath of God produces ice, and the broad waters become frozen. Job 37:9-10 NIV

Climatologist: 30-Year Cold Spell Strikes Earth
With nasty cold fronts thrusting an icy and early winter across the continental U.S. — along with last winter described by USA Today as "one of the snowiest, coldest, most miserable on record" — climatologist John L. Casey thinks the weather pattern is here to stay for decades to come.  In fact, Casey, a former space shuttle engineer and NASA consultant, is out with the provocative book "Dark Winter: How the Sun Is Causing a 30-Year Cold Spell," which warns that a radical shift in global climate is underway, and that Al Gore and other environmentalists have it completely wrong.
The earth, he says, is cooling, and cooling fast.  And unless the scientific community and political leaders act soon, cold, dark days are ahead.
NASA Admits That Winters are going to get colder…Much Colder
The Maunder Minimum (also known as the prolonged sunspot minimum) is the name used for the period roughly spanning 1645 to 1715 when sunspots became exceedingly rare, as noted by solar observers of the time.  Like the Dalton Minimum and Sp√∂rer Minimum, the Maunder Minimum coincided with a period of lower-than-average global temperatures. During one 30-year period within the Maunder Minimum, astronomers observed only about 50 sunspots, as opposed to a more typical 40,000-50,000 spots. Climatologist John Casey, a former space shuttle engineer and NASA consultant, thinks that last year’s winter, described by USA Today as “one of the snowiest, coldest, most miserable on record” is going to be a regular occurrence over the coming decades. Casey asserts that there is mounting evidence that the Earth is getting cooler due to a decline in solar activity. He warns in his latest book, Dark Winter, that a major alteration of global climate has already started and that, at a minimum, it is likely to last 30 years.

Harsh Cold to Freeze Northeast, Set Records in South

Southcentral Europe hit by severe weather, heavy rain and floods
Parts of southern and central Europe were hit by severe weather over the last 5 days. The storm system already delivered heavy rainfall to parts of southern France, southern Switzerland, northern Italy, western Austria, western Slovenia and northwestern Croatia.  Rainfall in excess of 175 mm (7 inches) inundated Nice, France. A 300 mm of rain was recorded in Kotschach, Austria and at the same time, 265 mm (10.5 inches) fell in Cevio, Switzerland. The system also delivered heavy snowfall in western Alps. Over 91 cm (36 inches) of snow was recorded at Andermatt, Switzerland.
