Christian Exodus in Iraq and Syria Reached 'Biblical Proportions,' Open Doors Says on Day of Prayer for Persecuted Church

Prophecy Sign:  Increasing Christian persecution and marginalization

It's becoming especially perilous to be a Christian in the Islamic world, and even here in the so-called 'free world', Christianity is under attack with everyone from Dolly Parton to some ethics flunking lambasting proponents of bible believing Christianity as hate mongers and badly in need of clinical treatment methods, (article below - Sorry we don't need to reclaim our lives as Jesus Christ has done it for us).

In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. 2 Timothy 3:12 NIV

PERSECUTION:
Christian Exodus in Iraq and Syria Reached 'Biblical Proportions,' Open Doors Says on Day of Prayer for Persecuted Church
Persecution watchdog group Open Doors warned that the exodus of Christians in Iraq and Syria fleeing terror group ISIS reached "biblical proportions" this year, and called for Christian unity during the International Day of Prayer for the persecuted church on Sunday. A number of Christian leaders and commentators spoke during the webcast, raising awareness and encouraging prayer for believers around the world who have faced persecution this year.

Pakistani Christian Couple Are Tortured and Burned to Death by Angry Mob
An enraged mob tortured a Pakistani Christian couple and incinerated their bodies in a brick kiln in eastern Pakistan on Tuesday after they were accused of burning a Quran, police officials said. The killings, which happened in the town of Kot Radha Kishan in Punjab Province, were the latest violent outbreak of religious intolerance in Pakistan, where members of minorities are frequently accused of blasphemy.

Prince of Wales’s plea to Muslims over Christian persecution
Although the report concludes that Christians are suffering the most widespread persecution - across the Middle East, Africa, Asia and elsewhere - it also points out that Muslims are coming under “serious” threat. It also argues that religious freedom is in “decline” in the UK and other western countries, because of both a fear of extremism and a growing belief that faith should have no place in public life.

MARGINALIZATION:
Psychological Harms of Bible-Believing Christianity
The second reason that religious harm goes unrecognized is that Christianity is still the cultural backdrop for the indoctrination. While the larger society may not be fundamentalist, references to God and faith abound. The Bible gets used to swear in witnesses and even the U.S. president. Common phrases are “God willing,” “God bless,” “God helps those that help themselves,” “In God we trust,” and so forth. These lend credence to theistic authority.
Religious trauma is difficult to see because it is camouflaged by the respectability of religion in culture. To date, parents are afforded the right to teach their own children whatever doctrines they like, no matter how heinous, degrading, or mentally unhealthy. Even helping professionals largely perceive Christianity as benign. This will need to change for treatment methods to be developed and people to get help that allows them to truly reclaim their lives.
