Call to action for 'Global Covenant of World Religions'

Prophecy Sign:  The future global false religious system

Well you can't have a brand new economic/political world order, (see our other blog entry of today), without also having a brand new religious world order.  Perhaps we will call it the "Global covenant of World Religions' and base it out of Rome...or heck, even Jerusalem. We could even have a global religious leader, (False Prophet), head it up and tell everyone that it would be most cool if you bowed down and worshiped the grand poobah over there at New World Order headquarters, (that guy referred to as Antichrist). Failure to do so would result in you losing your head.

It's all coming together folks......are you ready?  Do you know Jesus Christ as your personal savior? Time is short....don't delay....now is the day of salvation.

The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. The name written on her forehead was a mystery: Babylon the great the mother of prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth. Revelation 17:4-5 NIV

Call to action for 'Global Covenant of World Religions'
Faced with the urgent crisis provoked by Islamic state extremists, faith leaders must work harder to prevent religiously motivated violence. That’s the view of Jerry White, deputy assistant Secretary of State in the U.S. government’s Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations. White, who survived a landmine explosion in the Holy Land before starting to work in peace and victim support programmes, was in Rome recently to promote a call to action for a ‘Global Covenant of World Religions’. While noting that governments and civil society organisations are an important part of any peace strategy, White believes faith leaders have a crucial role to play in combatting the alarming increase in religiously-motivated violence.

US representative in Rome to push for ‘global covenant of world religions’
Rome provides a “neutral brokerage” where religious leaders can work together for peace, says Jerry White, the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations. In an interview with Vatican Radio, White spoke of the need for faith leaders to work harder to prevent religiously motivated violence. Islamic state extremists have brought the question of faith and violence to the fore, and the world religions must be in the forefront of the peace process. The type of violence growing in the world is “religion related,” says White. “Religion is a vocabulary that is being used, even every day as we look in the paper, to justify violence.” For this reason, “religion has to be part of the solution.”
