Isis 'just one mile from Baghdad' as al-Qaeda fighters join forces against Syria air strikes

Prophecy Sign:  The coming prophetic Middle-East Wars

Throughout the pages of the Old Testament there are prophesies of the last days which warn of war in the Middle-East at the time of the end.  All of these passages tell of the enemies of Israel gathering together to attempt to wipe Israel off the map.  From Libya to Turkey, from Ethiopia to Syria, from Egypt to Iran, nearly every North African and Mid-East nation of Islamic persuasion, (save for perhaps Jordan), will have a hate on for Israel and will attack.

What we don't know for sure is just how many battles there will be, (Psalm 83, Gog/Magog, Isaiah 17, Obadiah 1, Jeremiah 49), and the timing of those battles.  Some suggest that the Islamic nations will gather together as the armies of Gog/Magog and attack Israel prior to the Tribulation while others believe that this will not happen until the very end and is in fact the battle of Armageddon.

How all of this plays out is only known to God himself.  However, we that are watching the signs can now see the coming together of much of the Islamic world into alliances, (some Shiite, some Sunni), and we can witness the growing hatred towards the Jewish state and the desire of these alliances to rid the world of the Jews, once and for all.  The bible tells us that this will never happen!!

I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city.  Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights on a day of battle. Zechariah 14:2-3 NIV

Isis 'just one mile from Baghdad' as al-Qaeda fighters join forces against Syria air strikes
Isis fighters are reportedly just one mile away from Baghdad as reports emerge of al-Qaeda militants bolstering their ranks in Syria. According to the Foundation for Relief and Reconciliation in the Middle East, Isis was approaching the Iraqi capital on Monday morning. "The Islamic State are now less than 2km away from entering Baghdad," a spokesperson said. "They said it could never happen and now it almost has. Obama says he overestimated what the Iraqi Army could do. Well you only need to be here a very short while to know they can do very very little."

ISIS+Al-Nusra Front? Islamists reportedly join forces, new threat against West issued
Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Nusra Front has issued a new threatening audio message featuring its leader warning the West “will pay the heaviest price” for its actions. The Syrian group is reportedly now joining up with the estranged Islamic State militants. The leader of Syria’s most prominent terrorist group, Abu Mohamad al-Golani, in denouncing the US-led air strike campaign, has urged Westerners everywhere to do the same “by standing against the decisions of your rulers,” otherwise bloodshed would be brought to their soil.

Islamic State and Nusra Front move toward alliance amid coalition strikes in Syria
Islamic State is moving toward an alliance with the Nusra Front, the largest Al-Qaida affiliate in Syria, as a U.S.-led coalition continues strikes against IS positions in the northeastern part of the country. Nusra Front, or Jabhat al-Nusra, has been facing mounting pressure from its own members to reconcile with its rival and form a united front against the air strikes, which began in Syria last week, after the American fight against Islamic State began in Iraq in August. Joining forces with IS would require Nusra Front members to pledge loyalty to the group, which has declared a caliphate in territory it controls in those countries. This would effectively put an end to the Nusra Front, fighters in the group say.

Islamic State militant in Vice interview: We won't stop until we crucify Netanyahu
An Islamic State militant vowed in a video interview with Vice News that the group will not stop fighting until they crucify Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. "When we crucify Benjamin Netanyahu for his war crimes, maybe, maybe that's when we'll stop," the militant, purportedly the 21-year-old Somali-Canadian Abu Usamah Somali, told Vice News founder Shane Smith via a video link from Iraq.
