Are the World's Religions Ready for E.T.?

Prophecy Sign:  A powerful delusion

Based on the teachings of Jesus pertaining to the last days, there are several prophecy scholars that believe a return to earth of demonic entities known as the Nephilim will play a key role in the very strong delusion that the bible speaks of.

Jesus warned that the time just prior to his return would be just like the days of Noah prior to the flood.  What differentiated that time from now?  The existence of fallen angels on earth and their prodigy, the Nephilim, (giants of old - Genesis 6).  The belief then is that demonic entities posing as our Alien space brothers, (Ancient Aliens - Nephilim), will manifest themselves in the last days as earths benefactors and saviors. They will point to the Antichrist as the messianic figure all of earth has been waiting for, for thousands of years.

Most religions, (including Catholicism), would have absolutely no problem with this stunning announcement and unveiling.  But the bible teaches otherwise, that this will be nothing more than a powerful delusion of great signs and wonders.  People of the time, (during the Tribulation), will believe and accept this lie, including many nominal and cultural Christians.

The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie. 2 Thessalonians 2:9-11 NIV

Are the World's Religions Ready for E.T.?
Among Christian religions, the Roman Catholics have done the most thinking about the possibility of life on other worlds, the astronomer discovered. In fact, they have had an on-again, off-again theological debate that has gone on for a thousand years. The crux of the matter is original sin. If intelligent aliens are not descended from Adam and Eve, do they suffer from original sin? Do they need to be saved? If they do, then did Christ visit them and was he crucified and resurrected on other planets? "From a Roman Catholic perspective, if sentient extraterrestrials exist some but perhaps not all such species may suffer original sin and will require redemption," Weintraub summarizes.

Evangelical and fundamental Christians are most likely to have difficulty accepting the discovery of extraterrestrial life, the astronomer's research indicates. "...most evangelical and fundamentalist Christian leaders argue quite forcefully that the Bible makes clear that extraterrestrial life does not exist. From this perspective, the only living, God-worshipping beings in the entire universe are humans, created by God, who live on Earth." Southern Baptist evangelist Billy Graham was a prominent exception who stated that he firmly believes "there are intelligent beings like us far away in space who worship God."
