Russia and Iran Planning to Boost Economic Ties

Prophecy Sign:  The rise of the land of Magog, (Ezekiel 38/39)

Are present day Russia and the Land of Magog one and the same?  There is a great deal of debate among prophecy scholars over that question. Most agree that at the very least the southern provinces of Russia containing Muslim majorities will flesh out the Islamic coalition prophesied in Ezekiel.

But that begs the question;  Why would parts of Russia become involved in a major war but not other regions?  It's not like Russia will acquiesce and allow a bunch of break-away provinces to become independent Muslim nations, (Russia likes to hang on to its parts and former parts - eg Eastern Ukraine, Georgia, etc).  No...we believe that Russia who was and is a strong supporter of the Middle East nations, (excluding Israel), will get pulled into the coming Gog/Magog war as the Russian Bear continues to consolidate her power in the region.  Should Western Europe cut ties with Russia and turn off the natural gas pipelines and switch to Israel as a new source for gas, that could be the hook in the jaw that drags Russia into the fray.

Russia and Iran Planning to Boost Economic Ties
Russian officials have traveled to Iran's capital to boost economic ties between the two countries, The Associated Press (AP) reported on Tuesday. Iran's Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh and Alexander Novak, Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, oversaw a meeting of businessmen in Tehran, calling on them to increase trade, according to the report. Zanganeh said, "God willing, we will quickly increase the level of relations up to more than 10 times." Novak expressed the readiness of Russia for industrial cooperation, saying, "We have a lot of capabilities to strengthen our cooperation in the fields of electricity, natural gas, oil — as well as nuclear plants and aircraft parts and other equipment." Last year, trade between the two countries was about $1.5 billion, noted AP.

Russia warns US against strikes on Islamic State in Syria
Russia has warned that US air strikes against militants in Syria would be a "gross violation" of international law. A Russian foreign ministry spokesman said any such action, without the backing of the UN, would be "an act of aggression". It comes as US Secretary of State John Kerry meets Arab leaders in Saudi Arabia to try to build a coalition against Islamic State (IS) militants. President Obama has threatened action against IS in Syria as well as Iraq. IS controls large parts of Syria and Iraq after a rapid military advance.

While Obama Snoozes, Russia Is Preparing For Nuclear War With The United States
Did you know that two Russian bombers practiced launching cruise missiles at the United States from a spot in the North Atlantic just the other day?  And did you know that Russia is spending massive amounts of money to build and test new nuclear weapons systems?  Meanwhile, the Obama administration is doing absolutely nothing to upgrade the U.S. nuclear arsenal.
