Peres proposes ‘UN for religions’ to pope at Vatican

Prophecy Sign:  The coming global false religious system

These reports of a movement to bring about a United Nations of Religions is vastly important news considering what bible prophecy warns of.  We are told that during the coming Tribulation period, all religions of the world will come together as a global power broker and will work to deceive the world into accepting the Antichrist as the long awaited Messiah.

We are indeed at the precipice of the finals days of this dispensation, with the Tribulation right around the corner.  If you have not yet made a commitment to Jesus Christ and have not turned you life over to him, now is the time to do so.  Time is short, don't delay.

Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. Peres proposes ‘UN for religions’ to pope at Vatican
Former President Shimon Peres emerged from a Vatican City audience with Pope Francis Thursday after proposing a kind of United Nations for religions. Peres, 91, who was the world’s oldest head of state until his term ended six weeks ago, met with Francis amid heightened tensions in the Middle East. He used the talks to highlight human rights abuses from Hamas and to discuss the rise of anti-Semitism in Europe. But the main topic of conversation was Peres’s idea to create a UN-like organization he called “the United Religions.” Peres said the Argentina-born pontiff was the only world figure respected enough to bring an end to the wars raging in the Middle East and elsewhere in the world.

Israel's Peres pitches "UN of Religions" to pope
Retired Israeli President Shimon Peres has proposed a new global peace initiative to Pope Francis: A "United Nations of Religions," given that most wars today have religious, not nationalistic, undercurrents. The Vatican said Peres pitched the initiative during a 45-minute audience Thursday in the Apostolic Palace. The two men last met when Francis invited the then-Israeli president and Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas to pray for peace together in the Vatican gardens on June 8.
