Palestinians Offered State Five Times The Size Of Palestine By Egyptian President, Abbas Rejects

Prophecy Sign:  The future seven year false covenant of peace

The late Israeli statesmen , Abba Eban, said it best some 40 years ago;  "The Palestinians never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity" And once again that has been shown to be true as the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, has been reported to have flatly rejected a proposal from the Egyptians to form a Palestinian state in lands adjacent to Gaza.  The Egyptians have offered 1,600 sq kms of land from the Sinai Peninsula. Instead Abbas and the Palestinians are demanding that Israel completely return to the 1967 borders and vacate settlements in the West Bank.  The Palestinians are also asking that the United Nations take over peace negotiations from the Americans.

There is only one reason why Abbas rejected the offer from Egypt and that is the desire to secure all of Israel as the new state of Palestine, and to drive Israel out of existence. However, Abbas won't live forever, and bible prophecy does tell us that a peace agreement will be brokered.  Could the Egyptian offer be part of that future agreement?

He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ ]he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him. Daniel 9:27 NIV

Palestinians Offered State Five Times The Size Of Palestine By Egyptian President, Abbas Rejects
Egyptian President General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has reportedly offered Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas a Palestinian State in Egypt’s Sinai which would be five times bigger than anything Israel could offer them in negotiations. The International Business Times reported today that even though he was offered 1,600 square kilometers of the Sinai Peninsula by al-Sisi, Abbas refused, thus proving that the Palestinians he represents are more interested in replacing Israel rather than creating a peaceful state adjacent to their current borders. As part of the offer to the Palestinians, Abbas would have to relinquish demands that Israel return to the 1967 borders, and would agree that this state would be totally demilitarized. Also as part of the deal Palestinian cities in Judea and Samaria would become autonomous and continue to be under Palestinian Authority control.

Abbas wants UN to replace US as leading negotiator in peace talks, aide says
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas wants the UN to replace the US as leading peace broker between Israel and the Palestinians, a senior official told Bloomberg in an interview published Tuesday. Senior Fatah official Nabil Sha'ath said if Israel does not agree to a West Bank pullout in the next round of talks, the Palestinians would challenge the Jewish state politically, "all over the universe." One thing on the future agenda, according to Sha'ath, is to urge the international community to handle Israel "as it did apartheid South Africa."
