Why The Earthquake Near San Francisco Is Just The Start Of The Shaking In California

Prophecy Sign:  Earthquakes, volcanoes, earth changes in the last days

Large cracks appearing in the ground, sinkholes popping up all over the globe, earthquakes increasing in size and numbers, and volcanoes waking from long slumbers.  Is God getting ready to once again shake the foundations of the globe?  Prophecy indicates that the greatest earthquake in the history of mankind will split the world apart and literally bring down mountains and wash away islands, (Revelation 16:18-20).

Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains. Mark 13:8 NIV

Why The Earthquake Near San Francisco Is Just The Start Of The Shaking In California
If you thought that the earthquake that struck northern California on Sunday was something, just wait until you see what is coming in the years ahead.  As you will read about below, we live at a time when earthquake activity is dramatically increasing.  This is especially true of the "Ring of Fire" which runs roughly along the outer perimeter of the Pacific Ocean.  Approximately 81 percent of all big earthquakes occur along the Ring of Fire, and the entire west coast of the United States falls within the danger zone.  Over the past few years, we have seen huge earthquake after huge earthquake strike various areas along the Ring of Fire, but up until now the California coastline has mostly been spared.  However, there are indications that this may be about to change in a big way.

Large Holes Forming Near The New Madrid Fault And A Giant Crack In The Earth In North Mexico
Did you know that the number of big earthquakes during the first three months of 2014 was more than double the yearly average of what we have experienced since 1979? And did you know that the number of earthquakes in the central and eastern U.S. has quintupled in recent years?  If you do not believe this, just keep reading.  We live at a time when earthquakes are increasing in frequency and severity.  And we are starting to see some very unusual activity in places that have been quiet for a very long time.  For example, large holes are starting to mysteriously appear in Indiana near the New Madrid fault zone.  And a giant crack in the ground nearly a kilometer long has appeared in northern Mexico.  Could these be indications that even greater earthquake activity is on the way?

Hundreds of Methane Plumes Erupting Along East Coast
In an unexpected discovery, hundreds of gas plumes bubbling up from the seafloor were spotted during a sweeping survey of the U.S. Atlantic Coast. Even though ocean explorers have yet to test the gas, the bubbles are almost certainly methane, researchers report today (Aug. 24) in the journal Nature Geoscience. "We don't know of any explanation that fits as well as methane," said lead study author Adam Skarke, a geologist at Mississippi State University in Mississippi State.

Video shows enormous crack in the ground in northern Mexico
Incredible footage has emerged showing a 26ft (8m) deep crack in the in the farmland of northwest Mexico, which stretches for over a kilometre. The crevice which appeared last week, has disconnected Highway 26 between Hermosillo and the coast, Sky News reported. Drivers, including farm workers, have been forced to navigate around the colossal trench.

30 metre wide sinkhole appears in Durham
A 30-metre (100ft) wide sinkhole has opened up in county Durham in the north-east of England, and it is so deep that its bottom cannot be seen. The gaping void, thought to be the result of mine workings, was discovered on Thursday by Sam Hillyard, a Durham University academic, at Cowshill, in the rural area of Weardale – and it has since grown three times as big.

  1. Granted, the USGS and other experts have posted a very high risk for both the faults in California as well as New Madrid. It is also speculated that Yellowstone looks ominous and is historically due for a catastrophic eruption and that Long Valley could be interconnected underground and at risk as well.

NOW - please do not muddle science. I keep reading reports such as this about Mount Baldy. It is NOT a fixed and permanent geological feature, such as a hill or a mountain. Instead, it is a very large SAND DUNE. Further, it is slowly migrating (as dunes will do) southward (it is located at the south shore of Lake Michigan in Indiana). Last year a boy fell into a hole and was rescued after several hours. The dune is closed off as other holes were found. The cause is NOT due to tectonics, rather believed to be a result of trees and brush that are buried under the massive dune that are dying and causing cavities in the bottom of the dune which collapse into holes. This area is subject to very strong seasonal storms that can bring high winds and massive waves down the north-south fetch of the lake.

Similarly, many sites have reported a large "crack" in New Mexico. This is reportedly NOT related to ANY fault line or ANY seismic activity. It is called a "subsidence fissure" and is the result of unusually wet recent weather causing the wet ground to pull away from the compacted dry ground. Gulley erosion from heavy, flooding rains further excavate the fissure. Cracks, or fissures that are related to tectonics, typically have vertical and/or lateral displacement. With erosion, such as in New Mexico, that is NOT the case.

Otherwise, this post does point out what is confirmed by the USGS. San Madrid and California are on "High Hazard Alert" for quakes approaching 8.0 at any time. In 1811-1812, four major quakes along the San Madrid ranged between 7.0 and 8.1 each. From Toronto to the Gulf Coast and even the White House felt it. There are exponentially more people and buildings in that zone now. To that end,
you are spot on in expressing the catastrophic nature of that event repeating in current times.
