Ebola outbreak: 'It's even worse than I'd feared'

Prophecy Sign:  Pestilence, disease and plagues

The Ebola crisis in West Africa is but a small microcosm of what is yet to come during the Tribulation when countless millions will perish from disease and plague as the globe descends into anarchy.  To consider that upwards of 20,000 people may die from a horrible disease such as Ebola is unfathomable;  To consider that millions will die of plague during the Tribulation is apocalyptic and should give one cause to consider their eternal destiny.  Now is the time of salvation.....not tomorrow or the next day!

There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven. Luke 21:11 NIV

Ebola outbreak: 'It's even worse than I'd feared'
"It's even worse than I'd feared," Dr. Tom Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said Wednesday of the Ebola outbreak rampaging through West Africa. "Every day this outbreak goes on, it increases the risk for another export to another country. "The sooner the world comes together to help Liberia and West Africans, the safer we will all be." Frieden spoke to CNN's Nima Elbagir in Monrovia, Liberia, where fear and anger over the largest Ebola outbreak on record has grown as health officials put up quarantines around some of the capital city's poorest areas.

World 'has never seen an outbreak of Ebola like this'
The world has never seen an outbreak of the Ebola virus like the one it is currently experiencing, according to the director of the US Centers for Disease Control. Speaking at a news conference in the Liberian capital Monrovia, Dr Tom Frieden said: "There is need for urgent action. The world has never seen an outbreak of Ebola like this..... I wish I didn't have to say this, but it is going to get worse, before it gets better."

WHO: Over 20,000 could be infected with Ebola
More than 20,000 people could be infected by the current outbreak of the Ebola virus, the World Health Organisation said. They said the actual number of cases in four West African nations could already be two to four times higher than the reported 3,069, as they issued a strategic plan to combat the outbreak. They said: "The actual number of cases may be 2-4 fold higher than that currently reported." They added that their road map "acknowledges that the aggregate case load of Ebola Virus Disease could exceed 20,000 over the course of this emergency."
