The Trigger Points For World War III Are In Place

Prophecy Sign:  Wars and Rumors of Wars

Is World War 3 fast approaching?  Many geo-political observers are saying yes.  Certainly such observations can be defined as "rumors", (as Matthew records it), as nations rise against each other, (East vs West), and ethnic/religious populations, (Shia vs Shiite, Muslim vs everybody), do the same. We were told to watch for such events as a sure sign of Christs soon coming.

Then he said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. Luke 21:10 NIV
The Trigger Points For World War III Are In Place
National humiliation, real or not, is a tremendous catalyst for war. That was the case in Germany after the Treaty of Versailles imposed reparations and territorial concessions; so, too, in Serbia more than 70 years later, after the breakup of Yugoslavia, a country Serbia had always viewed as an extension of itself. Russia, convinced of its lost greatness, is gripped by a Weimar neurosis resembling Germany’s post–World War I longing for its past stature and power. The Moscow-backed separatists taking over government buildings in eastern Ukraine and proclaiming an independent “Donetsk People’s Republic” demonstrate the virulence of Russian irredentism. Nobody can know where it will stop. Appetite, as the French say, grows with eating.

Pentagon looking at possible military options for Russia: US general
Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey says the Pentagon is looking at possible military responses to Russia’s actions in Ukraine. He said his country is considering military options such as US military “basing, lines of communications, sea lanes” that “we haven’t had to look at for 20 years." During his address at the Aspen Institute on Thursday night, he warned that Russian President Vladimir Putin “may actually light a fire” he cannot control. “This is very clearly Putin” attempting to “redress grievances for the fall of the Soviet Union,” Dempsey said.

Major new fears over war with Russia
Germany’s foreign minister believes the Ukrainian crisis with Russia could prompt a war between Europe and Russia, warning of “unforeseeable consequences for all of Europe.” Frank-Walter Steinmeier, in an interview with the German magazine Der Spiegel, said tougher new sanctions against Moscow are needed even though he said “European peace is at stake.” Steinmeier said German industry now supports increased sanctions even though it could be the source of further tensions between the European Union and Russia. In underscoring the need for good relations with Moscow, Steinmeier said Germany has always maintained contacts with Moscow and “continue(s) to do so because we need them.” “I will never tire of repeating that European peace is at stake. This conflict could have unforeseeable consequences for all of Europe,” he said.
