Prophecy Sign: The future global false religious system
Even in our own personal home church there are those calling for unity in Christ through diversity, (disregarding any concerns over doctrinal issues, and seemingly lacking any good discernment). Martin Luther must be rolling over in his grave as he watches elements of the Protestant/Evangelical movement he helped spawn centuries ago, hike up their collective skirts in readiness to dance with the Devil, (or the Roman Catholic Church as it were).
This is all leading to the future false global religious system of the coming Tribulation period, where all faiths will come together under the banner of unity suggesting that they all have legitimate ways to the same god they serve. Of course those that serve the biblical Jesus Christ know there is but one way to the Father and one way alone, (1 Timothy 2:5).
We can have unity with other believers who hold to biblical doctrine, but never with those that teach doctrines of Demons, (such as Mary being a co-redemptrix to Christ). On the other hand we can have conversations and friendships with those that believe differently in hopes that they will eventually see the truth.
In the meanwhile, the apostate harlot religion of Revelation 17/18 is growing exponentially.
Papal first: Francis visits Pentecostal church
Pope Francis has become the first pope to visit a Pentecostal church, pressing his outreach to evangelicals who represent Catholicism's greatest competition for Christian souls around the globe. Francis flew by helicopter Monday to visit the under-construction Evangelical Church of Reconciliation in the southern city of Caserta. He met privately with Pentecostal preacher Giovanni Traettino, an old friend. Speaking to some 350 Pentecostal faithful in the church, Francis apologized for Catholic persecution of Pentecostals during Italy's fascist regime, when the practice of their faith was forbidden, and stressed that there was unity in diversity within Christianity.
Pope Francis’ paradox: evangelize evangelicalsThe real Pope Francis’ aim is – according to some reports – that of asking forgiveness to the Evangelical Church for the way the Catholic Church and its structures may have limited its witnessing. This way, Pope Francis want to make even more visible the spiritual ecumenism he deems to be the best way to unity of all the Christian confessions. The Evangelical world is a big challenge for ecumenism, perhaps one of the most important ones. There is an open dialogue with the Orthodox world. This dialogue is mostly based on theology.
