Prayer Meeting Shows Pope’s Larger Vision

Prophecy Sign:  The false religious system of the coming Tribulation period

Is the current Pope the False Prophet of Revelation?  Very likely not.  Although he is doing his level best to set the stage for this future global religious leader.

We are told in bible prophecy that a world wide ecumenical religious system will work along side the political/economic world order of the future Antichrist, (and the 10 Kings/Kingdoms).  The bible pictures this as a woman riding a beast. Together these two entities, (economic system and religious system), will cause the world to come together to worship the future Antichrist, (Satan in-dwelled).

Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. Revelation 17:3-4 NIV

It's very interesting to see how some geo-politcal observers are viewing the new Pope.  They are now noticing that the Pope is venturing off the strictly religious path  and on to the diplomatic/political road, (the woman has saddled up the beast and is beginning to ride), and how the Pope is planning his own "global role".  This sounds precisely like what bible prophecy warns of regarding this future world leader, (the False Prophet), who will carve out a global role in bringing the world under the banner of ecumenicism/religious tolerance and will point the world to the Antichrist.

Then I saw a second beast, coming out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb, but it spoke like a dragon. It exercised all the authority of the first beast on its behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed. Revelation 13:11-12 NIV

Pack up, look up, we're going up real soon.  The Trumpet is about to sound.  Are you ready??

Prayer Meeting Shows Pope’s Larger Vision
If few analysts expect any major breakthroughs, Francis’s summit meeting shows how he is trying to pursue his goals by positioning the Vatican as an independent, global diplomatic player. Analysts also note that Francis’s status as the first Latin American pope has given him credibility in the non-Western world and is helping the Vatican have influence on a broader array of issues and disputes. “He is planning his own global role,” said Alberto Melloni, a Vatican historian. “He is showing there is a space in international relations for a different diplomacy. That is the purpose of this diplomatic action — to show they are independent and reliable for the world.”

Islamic prayers to be held at the Vatican
For the first time in history, Islamic prayers and readings from the Quran will be heard at the Vatican on Sunday, in a move by Pope Francis to usher in peace between Israelis and Palestinians. Francis issued the invitation to Israeli President Shimon Peres and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas during his visit last week to Jordan, Israel, and the Palestinian Authority. Abbas, Peres, and Francis will be joined by Jewish, Christian and Islamic religious leaders, a statement released by Peres’s spokesperson said, according to the Times of Israel.

Pastor Joel Osteen, Mormon Senator, Other US Leaders Meet With Pope Francis in Rome
Joel Osteen, bestselling motivational author and evangelical pastor of America's fastest-growing megachurch, was among a small group that included Mormon Sen. Mike Lee, to meet privately with Pope Francis at the Vatican in Rome, this week. Osteen said he was honored to meet with Pope Francis, who leads the world's 1.2 billion Roman Catholics. "I like the fact that this pope is trying to make the church larger, not smaller. He's not pushing people out but making the church more inclusive. That resonated with me," Osteen told the Houston Chronicle.
The ecumenical meeting was a part of Pope Francis' on-going efforts to bring unity among Christians, previously stating in public remarks, "Divisions among us, but also divisions among the communities: evangelical Christians, orthodox Christians, Catholic Christians, but why divided? We must try to bring about unity."
