Chaos in southern Ukraine: Deadly fire, choppers down and street fighting

Prophecy Sign:  Wars and Rumors of War

Chaos continues to build in Ukraine as pro-Russia agitators and Ukrainian loyalist clash for control over the Eastern Ukraine.  This all plays into Russian plans, as soon Russia will invade Ukraine under the pretense of restoring order, but will be entering Ukraine with the goal of annexing the nation under a revived Russian, (Soviet), bloc.  This has been Vladimir Putins goal since the demise of the Soviet empire.

When you hear of wars and uprisings, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away.” Then he said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. Luke 21:9-10 NIV

Chaos in southern Ukraine: Deadly fire, choppers down and street fighting
Deadly street fighting, helicopters shot down and civilians being used as human shields.
That was the picture that emerged Friday in southern Ukraine as violence escalated amid reports that dozens of people were killed in a fire and still more were shot dead or wounded in street fighting, raising the question of whether the country can stave off a possible civil war. The violence -- pitting pro-Russian separatists against Ukrainian forces and those who support the government in Kiev -- prompted an emergency meeting of the U.N. Security Council, with Russia demanding an end to what it called Ukrainian aggression and Western powers accusing Moscow of funding the violence.

Ukraine 'on full combat alert' against possible Russia invasion
Ukraine's military is "on full combat alert" against a possible invasion by Russian troops massed on the border, acting President Oleksandr Turchynov said in a ministerial meeting in Kiev on Wednesday. "Our armed forces are on full combat alert," he said. "The threat of Russia starting a war against mainland Ukraine is real." Pro-Russian gunmen have seized more administrative buildings in eastern Ukraine, further raising tensions in Ukraine's Russian-leaning regions shaken by separatist unrest. Insurgents wielding automatic weapons took control and hoisted a separatist flag on top of the city council building on Wednesday morning in the city of Horlivka in the Donetsk region which borders Russia. They also took control of a police station in the city, adding to another police building which they had controlled for several weeks.
