World War?

Prophecy Sign:  Rumours of War

So did you hear all the glowing reports about how Russia had pulled back some of her troops from the Ukraine border?  Turns out that only a single battalion of between 400-500 troops where on the move, while 40,000 troops still remain within striking distance.  Meanwhile Russia just conducted a 3 day nuclear war exercise involving 10,000 troops and Poland has now ask NATO to station 10,000 troops on her border with Russia.  Doesn't sound like this little tete-a-tete is ending any-time soon.  In fact, it may spark into World War 3 if Russia looks to gain more territory in Eastern Europe.

Rumours of Wars....Rumours of War.

When you hear of wars and uprisings, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away.” Then he said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. Luke 21:9-10 NIV

World War?
On Wednesday, March 26, 2014, the House Armed Services Committee of the U.S. Congress released an unclassified version of its letter to President Obama warning that, over the past month, Russia has been massing more forces on the border of Ukraine--apparently for a wider invasion. Russia is postured to overrun all of UkraineRussia is postured to attack NATO itself.  Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia are all NATO member states now, whose security the United States is bound by treaty to protect--including if necessary by nuclear war. Russia has never enjoyed such a preponderance of nuclear and conventional forces over the United States and the NATO frontline states as it does today.  Russia has a virtual monopoly of 3,000-8,000 tactical nuclear weapons, compared to a few hundred obsolete nuclear gravity bombs remaining on the U.S. side.  Russia has advanced Third Generation nuclear weapons that have no counterpart on the U.S. side.

Ukraine crisis: Russia carries out massive nuclear war exercise involving 10,000 troops
Russia on Saturday ended a massive three-day nuclear war exercise involving 10,000 soldiers, as the worst East-West standoff since the Cold War continues. The drill, which utilised over 30 military units and 1000 pieces of equipment, was to ensure that Russia’s Strategic Missile Forces are prepared to conduct offensive operations in the event of a massive and simultaneous international use of nuclear weapons.

Ukraine crisis: Poland asks Nato to station 10,000 troops on its territory
Poland asked Nato to station 10,000 troops on its territory on Tuesday as a visible demonstration of the Alliance's resolve to defend all its members after Russia's seizure of Crimea. Nato foreign ministers met in Brussels to consider requests for soldiers to be deployed in Poland and the Baltic States, all of which share borders with Russia. Nato generals and admirals have been ordered to devise ways to better protect alliance members that feel threatened by Russia, and "all practical civilian and military cooperation" with Russia.

NATO General Says He Sees Potent Russian Threat
NATO’s top commander said on Wednesday that the 40,000 troops Russia has within striking distance of Ukraine are poised to attack on 12 hours’ notice and could accomplish their military objectives within three to five days. President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia told Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany on Monday that the Kremlin was beginning to withdraw troops from the border area near Ukraine. But the NATO commander, Gen. Philip M. Breedlove, said in an interview with The New York Times that so far only a single battalion, a force of 400 to 500 troops, is on the move and that NATO intelligence could not say whether it was actually being withdrawn.
