U.S. May Unveil Framework Peace Deal Without Agreement of Israel or Palestinian Authority

Prophecy Sign:  The future seven year covenant of peace, (Daniel 9:27)

The clock on the nine month deadline that was set last summer for a framework deal between Israel and the Palestinians is fast running out. Thus far, no deal.  So the Obama administration is taking a two pronged attack to press the situation;  It is considering announcing a framework without the consent and agreement from either the Israelis or Palestinians, and Obama himself is ready to put considerably more pressure on Israel to acquiesce to Palestinian demands. As for the Israeli Prime Minister, he is shooting back by declaring in no uncertain terms he will resist such pressures and standfast on Israel's "vital interests", (good for him).

Some things to ponder about all this;  What happens if no deal is reached...what then?  Given the already acrimonious discussions on the fate of the Temple Mount, would that acrimony plus a no deal situation result in yet another Arab/Israel war, (Psalm 83)? What if there is indeed a framework signed?  Would that then become the "covenant" that the future Antichrist confirms as a peace deal?  Stayed tuned.

U.S. May Unveil Framework Peace Deal Without Agreement of Israel or Palestinian Authority
The White House is debating whether to unveil a framework Israel-Palestinian Authority peace agreement that will address final status issues without the consent of Jerusalem and Ramallah, Israeli daily Ma’ariv reported on Sunday. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is determined to present a proposal by no later than March 28 – the day when a fourth segmented release of Palestinian Arab terrorists from Israeli prisons is scheduled to take place, Ma’ariv said.

Obama: US won’t be able to defend Israel if peace talks fail
Israel can expect to face international isolation and possible sanctions from countries and companies across the world if Benjamin Netanyahu fails to endorse a framework agreement with the Palestinians, US President Barack Obama cautioned on Sunday ahead of a meeting with the Israeli prime minister. In an interview with Bloomberg, Obama stressed that time was running out for Israel to achieve a peace deal, and added that he believed Netanyahu had the capacity to rally Israel’s citizens behind an agreement.
The president went on to stress that he would convey to Netanyahu, in the spirit of the Jewish sage Hillel the Elder, that the prime minister could lead Israel toward peace if he chose to do so.  “If not now, when? And if not you, Mr. Prime Minister, then who?” Obama said.

Obama to Israel -- Time Is Running Out

Embarking for US, Netanyahu says Israel will reject pressures
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu left for Washington Sunday for talks about the US-led peace process with the Palestinians and nuclear negotiations between world powers and Iran. Before departing from Ben-Gurion International Airport for his “important trip to the United States,” Netanyahu took a hard line on his Monday meeting with President Barack Obama, saying he would resist “pressures” and “stand steadfast on the State of Israel’s vital interests.”
