Today in Dangerous Military Escalation

Prophecy Sign:  Rumours of Wars

All around the world, dangerous geo-political hotspots are simmering away with some approaching a boil. Many of these hotspots have the word 'nuclear' attached to them, (eg: Asia, Middle-East, Russia/NATO). We now live in a time where rumours of war, (sabre rattling), are becoming the norm.  Bible prophecy warns that at the onset of the Tribulation a rider on a red horse will take peace from the world with a series of wars, (likely the simmering hot-spots of today)

Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make people kill each other. To him was given a large sword. Revelation 6:4 NIV

Japan Has Nuclear 'Bomb in the Basement,' and China Isn't Happy
No nation has suffered more in the nuclear age than Japan, where atomic bombs flattened two cities in World War II and three reactors melted down at Fukushima just three years ago. But government officials and proliferation experts say Japan is happy to let neighbors like China and North Korea believe it is part of the nuclear club, because it has a “bomb in the basement” -– the material and the means to produce nuclear weapons within six months, according to some estimates. And with tensions rising in the region, China’s belief in the “bomb in the basement” is strong enough that it has demanded Japan get rid of its massive stockpile of plutonium and drop plans to open a new breeder reactor this fall.
