Christians in Israel ask EU to stop ‘Christian ethnic cleansing’ in Arab countries

Prophecy Sign:  Increasing persecution of Christians

Christians, (and especially bible believing Christians), are under attack all across the globe.  While some Christians fear for their lives and many perish due to terrorism and targeted attacks, other Christians suffer basic hatred and marginalization.  More and more the secular media in the West is castigating the so called "fundamentalist"  God of conservative Christianity and are heaping hatred on a God who would be so horrible as to judge sin.  According to these writers, people are searching for a god or a Jesus who doesn't judge there lifestyles or their sin, (the Jesus of the bible does in fact call upon everyone to come to him....even in their sin.....but then requires a change of heart and a repentance from that sin).

We find it very interesting and totally confusing that it would be the current President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, who is the one promising to defend Christians from persecution around the world, (article below). While at the same time the Catholic Chief Justice is calling out the current President of the United States, Barack Obama, for becoming hostile to Christianity and Christian civilization. Shouldn't it be the other way around???

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 NIV

Christians in Israel ask EU to stop ‘Christian ethnic cleansing’ in Arab countries
A group of Israeli Christians asked the European Union for help in stopping the Christian ethnic cleansing in Islamic countries, the Tazpit News Agency reported. 150 Christian citizens of Israel demonstrated outside the European Union's delegation in Tel Aviv, against the EU's silence relative to what they termed “the ethnic cleansing of Christians throughout the Middle East.” The protesters demanded that the EU act for human rights and fight for the Christians throughout the Middle East, who are quickly becoming extinct except in Israel.

Gunmen Launch Deadly Attack on Kenya Church
Gunmen opened fire on a Kenya church Sunday outside the coastal city of Mombasa, killing three people and wounding at least 10. Officials said three attackers entered the Joyland Church during services and opened fire on the congregation. Nearby police responded swiftly, but the killers got away. Muslim-Christian tensions are high in Kenya and many churches and Christian ministers have been attacked in recent years. Kenya borders Somalia, where the Islamic militant group Al-Shabab is persecuting Christians.

Fred Phelps May Be Dead, But His Fundamentalist God Lives
The infamous founder of Westboro Baptist Church loved to tell people about God’s hatred and judgement. Other evangelicals are a lot nicer about it—but their God isn’t much different. Like many others, I was appalled that a so-called man of God would exploit a community’s tragedy and heartbreak to advance such a hateful message. But having grown up in Christian fundamentalism, I wasn’t surprised. As a child, one of the things I learned about Jesus-focused fundamentalism is that “God’s truth” contained no compassion for the people it hurt, offended, or mocked.

One thing we can say about Fred Phelps is that we knew his God. We knew that Fred’s God hated us, or most of us. We knew that Fred’s God couldn’t wait to destroy the world with hellfire and brimstone. We knew that Fred’s God was seemingly void of a conscience. And we knew what Fred’s God had done to Fred. Fred’s hateful God left nothing to the imagination, and was easy to reject. But for countless American Christians, finding a God who doesn’t hate them for what they are is a long and painful journey.

Vladimir Putin Vows to Defend Christianity Worldwide
RT online reported that Metropolitan Hilarion, foreign relation chief of the Russian Orthodox Church presented evidence and statistics that stated, "Every five minutes one Christian was dying for his or her faith in some part of the word." Christians face persecution in many nations; from church demolition in Afghanistan and bombings of churches in Iraq, to the violence against Christians taking place in rebellious towns in Syria. After delivering the facts, Metropolitan Hilarion asked Putin to make protection and defense of Christianity around the globe a major part of his foreign policy. And, as reported by Interfax, Putin replied, "You needn't have any doubt that that's the way it will be," assuring Hilarion that Russian foreign policy would defend Christians from persecution abroad.

Vatican Chief Justice: Obama’s Policies ‘Have Become Progressively More Hostile Toward Christian Civilization’
The Vatican’s chief justice feels that President Barack Obama’s policies have been hostile toward Christians. In an interview with Polonia Christiana magazine –and transcribed by Life Site News — Cardinal Raymond Burke said that Obama “promotes anti-life and anti-family policies.” “It is true that the policies of the president of the United States have become progressively more hostile toward Christian civilization. He appears to be a totally secularized man who aggressively promotes anti-life and anti-family policies,” Burke told the magazine. The former archbishop of St. Louis stated that Obama is trying to “restrict” religion.
