Report: NSA Spied on 124 Billion Phone Calls in One Month

Prophecy Sign:  The global surveillance/police state

The Obama administration certainly has no shortage of peoples, groups and nations only slightly perturbed with it, (a major understatement if there ever was one).  From Middle-East nations angered with Obama's foreign policy to Western allies angered that their leaders have been under surveillance by the NSA to plain ordinary citizens of America angered with just about everything their President has done, (Obamacare, Benghazi, etc).

As for the surveillance of nations and citizens, this surveillance has become Orwellian in nature as the NSA, (according to the reports), is monitoring nearly every daily communication to the tune of hundreds of billions of calls per month. Say the wrong buzz word, (terrorist, bomb, etc), and your conversation will likely be quickly identified along with your identity.  Welcome to the new age of the surveillance state.  Such will be given over the the Antichrist as he takes reign and authority over all the peoples of the world.

It was given power to wage war against God's holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. Revelation 13:7 NIV

NSA monitored calls of 35 world leaders after US official handed over contacts
The National Security Agency monitored the phone conversations of 35 world leaders after being given the numbers by an official in another US government department, according to a classified document provided by whistleblower Edward Snowden. The confidential memo reveals that the NSA encourages senior officials in its "customer" departments, such the White House, State and the Pentagon, to share their "Rolodexes" so the agency can add the phone numbers of leading foreign politicians to their surveillance systems. The document notes that one unnamed US official handed over 200 numbers, including those of the 35 world leaders, none of whom is named. These were immediately "tasked" for monitoring by the NSA. The revelation is set to add to mounting diplomatic tensions between the US and its allies, after the German chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday accused the US of tapping her mobile phone.

EU trade agreement with the US is under threat as recriminations over the Merkel phone bugging scandal escalate
Angela Merkel has demanded an explanation from Barack Obama as diplomatic tensions escalate following reports that US intelligence agents may have been monitoring the German Chancellor's phone calls. Ms Merkel spoke to the US President regarding the allegations last night and her Government has today summoned the US ambassador John B Emerson to Berlin for talks. It is thought that the scandal could see European leaders lose their zeal to discuss a mooted free trade agreement between the EU and the US which had looked likely to be in place next year. European leaders are likely to be looking for clarification over the relationship between Europe and the States before any such deal.

Snowden: NSA keeps record of every telephone call in the United States
National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden on Thursday disputed Sen. Dianne Feinstein's (D-Calif.) claim that the government's phone record collection program is not "surveillance."  "Today, no telephone in America makes a call without leaving a record with the NSA. Today, no Internet transaction enters or leaves America without passing through the NSA's hands," Snowden said in a statement Thursday. "Our representatives in Congress tell us this is not surveillance. They're wrong."

Report: NSA Spied on 124 Billion Phone Calls in One Month
The National Security Agency recorded information about more than 124 billion phone calls during a 30-day period earlier this year, including around 3 billion calls from U.S. sources, according to a tally from top-secret documents released by multiple news outlets. Documents revealing details about the NSA’s Boundless Informant program show that information regarding billions of phone calls and computer communications was collected by the agency from across the world.
