For the Pope, Israel Does Not Really Exist

Prophecy Sign:  The coming of the False Prophet

Interesting that the Vatican and the Pope are consciously avoiding the use of the name of Israel when referring to the Holy Land.  This should not come as a surprise to anyone, as the Vatican has had an eye on the epi-center and in particular, Jerusalem for centuries. In fact it has been reported in past months that the Vatican has secured a seat over the tomb of King David.  Bible prophecy indicates that part of the Temple site will be given over to the Gentiles for a duration of 42 month during the Tribulation period.  Could this include a future home for the False Prophet and the head quarters for the false religious system?  A system which will most assuredly include the Church of Rome.

I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, "Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, with its worshipers. But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months. Revelation 11:1-2 NIV

For the Pope, Israel Does Not Really Exist
For Pope Francis, who, it is said, plans to visit Jerusalem next year,  the State of Israel doesn't even exist. This is how the Pope greeted the faithful at the end of the General Audience in Rome: "I ask you to pray for the peace in the Middle East: in Syria, in Iraq, in Egypt, in Lebanon and in the Holy Land, where the Prince of Peace is born". Where is Israel in the Pope's statement? A few days earlier, the Pope had visited St. Francis' grave in Assisi. There, Papa Bergoglio said: "Let us listen to the cry of all those who are weeping, who are suffering and who are dying because of violence, terrorism or war, in the Holy Land, so dear to Saint Francis, in Syria, throughout the Middle East and everywhere in the world". No mention again of the Jewish State or of the two Israeli soldiers murdered by Muslim terrorists this month. "Terra Sancta", holy land, is the malignant expression used by the Vatican and the Catholic clergy in the Middle East to deny the very existence of the Jewish state and people. If it is their holy land, it cannot be Eretz Yisrael.

Palestinian president Abbas invites pope to Holy Land
Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas on Thursday said he had invited Pope Francis to the Middle East, during an audience in the Vatican. Speaking to Vatican foreign affairs official Dominique Mamberti after the talks, he said: "It was a pleasure and I invited him to the Holy Land". Abbas gave the pope a ceramic panel with a view of Bethlehem and a Bible as gifts, while Francis gave him a decorative pen with which Abbas said he hoped to sign a peace agreement with Israel. "Soon, soon," the pope responded.
