Syrian rebels plan chem attack on Israel from Assad-controlled territories

Prophecy Sign:  The coming Middle-East wars - Israel vs Syria

Israel is sceptical of the Russian brokered deal with Syria which will see Syria give up her chemical weapons to international control.  Can you blame Israel?  Russia is a major supplier of armaments to Syria and who is to say that much of the supplies to manufacture those chemical weapons didn't come from Russia herself? It's like asking the National Rifle Association to oversee gun confiscations and gun control of the National Guard.

Sources indicate that the Syrian rebels may be behind the recent chemical weapons attacks and that they may unleash future attacks on Israel to cast dispersions on the Assad regime.  Israel won't much care who the perpetrator is and would simply take out both sides of the Syrian divide.  Such an Israeli retaliatory attack on Syria may mean a devastated Damascus which bible prophecy warns is the destiny of the Syrian capital.

Damascus has become feeble, she has turned to flee and panic has gripped her; anguish and pain have seized her, pain like that of a woman in labor. Why has the city of renown not been abandoned, the town in which I delight?  Jeremiah 49:24:25 NIV

RT sources: Syrian rebels plan chem attack on Israel from Assad-controlled territories
A chemical attack may be launched on Israel by Syrian rebels from government-controlled territories as a "major provocation," multiple sources told RT. The report comes as Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov proposed that Syria puts its chemical weapons arsenal under international control for subsequent destruction in order to prevent a possible military strike against the war-torn country.

Liberman warns that Israel will topple Assad if he attacks
Israel will ensure that Syrian leader Bashar Assad will not remain in power if he attacks Israel, Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee chairman Avigdor Liberman (Likud Beytenu) said Monday. The statement was the clearest warning to Assad delivered by a top Israeli figure since the escalation of tension between Syria and the United States.
“The supreme Israeli interest is to remain outside the conflict,” Liberman wrote on his Facebook page. “There are many figures trying to drag us in. We have successfully avoided that and we should continue in the future. That is why Bashar Assad’s threats in various media outlets to expand the conflict to neighboring countries bother me. Israel has no interest, will or intention to take part in the Syrian civil war, but Assad must understand in the clearest way possible that if he and his regime do not leave us a choice and he attacks Israel or transfers chemical weapons to Hezbollah, Israel will respond in the harshest way possible, including toppling his regime.”

Israel Skeptical on Syria Giving Up Chemical Arms
Senior Israeli politicians have voiced skepticism about Russia's proposal for Syria to surrender its chemical weapons to international control. Avigdor Lieberman, who chairs the parliament's foreign affairs and defense committee, told Israel Radio on Tuesday that Syria could use the proposal to "buy time." He says Syrian President Bashar "Assad is winning time and lots of it." Lieberman, an ally of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, says Israel doesn't have details of the Russian offer and that the logistics of a weapons transfer are unclear. President Shimon Peres warned on Monday that negotiations over a weapons transfer would be "tough" and that Syria is "not trustworthy." Lieberman says Syria is likely stalling, as Iran allegedly did during early nuclear negotiations when faced with an offer to transfer enriched uranium stockpiles abroad.
