Starting World War III

Prophecy Sign:  The coming wars of the Middle-East

We are certainly in the throws of, "rumours of wars", don't you think?  The nations and their flotillas are starting to stack up in the waters of the Middle-East, as Russia, America, China and others all circle the epicentre like sharks to their prey. One wrong move and the whole thing could blow up into World War 3.

A pair of interesting videos below explore what is happening in the Middle-East and just how dangerous all this is.  Of course, those of us who know the true living God of the universe and his son, Jesus Christ, have not much to worry about as we know our God has it all under control.  But for the rest of the world, these are days of major distress and worry.

If you know your bible prophecy, now is a good as time as any to speak to those folks you know that are worry about the growing situation in the Middle-East.  Let them know what the bible says, and how they can have assurance in this growing time of trouble.

You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Matthew 24:9 NIV

When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make people kill each other. To him was given a large sword. Revelation 6:3 NIV

Starting World War III
As a U.S. military strike in Syria looms, three high-profile commentators warn that it may lead to “the next World War.” They include syndicated columnist and Fox News contributor Dr. Charles Krauthammer, Fox News host Sean Hannity, and Glenn Beck (former Fox News host who currently runs his own news network called The Blaze). This possibility is not being covered or explored by the mainstream media, but it is a real one.

Russian Warships in Offensive Arrangement for Syrian War
Russian warships in the Mediterranean are on the offensive waiting for the slightest aggressive move by the US against Syria, a senior Iranian legislator said. "Practically, the Russians have lost their bases in the region and the only point that they have kept in the Middle-East is Syria. Therefore, Russians will not repeat their previous mistakes and will not allow the Americans to take control of their allies in the region," Chairman of the parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said in an interview with Iran-based Arabic-language al-Alam news channel Sunday night. "The Russian warships have taken offensive arrangement to take action to defend their defined interests in the Middle-East," he added.

Russia sends four more warships to eastern Mediterranean near Syria
The Russian navy has sent four more ships to the eastern Mediterranean, near the Syrian coast, as the United States considers launching a military offensive against the Arab country. The SSV-201 Priazovye reconnaissance ship, escorted by two landing ships, Minsk and Novocherkassk, had already passed through Turkey's Bosphorus Strait, Russia’s Interfax news agency quoted a source from the Saint Petersburg-based central naval command as saying on Friday. A third landing ship was just making a short stop to lift “special cargo” in Novorossiysk in the Black Sea, the report added without elaborating on the cargo.

Russia bolsters naval presence near Syria, will continue to aid Assad
Russia will continue to supply weapons to Syria in the event of a U.S. military strike, President Vladimir Putin said Friday, as three naval ships headed to the eastern Mediterranean to bolster the country’s fleet near the Syrian coast. “Will we help Syria? Yes, we will,” Putin said in response to a journalist’s question at the conclusion of a Group of 20 summit in St. Petersburg. “We are helping them now. We are supplying weapons, cooperating in the economic sphere.”
