Pakistan earthquake: Hundreds dead in Balochistan

Prophecy Sign:  Increase in earthquakes in diverse regions of the planet

A pair of pretty big earthquakes in the last couple of days.  Coincidentally, after a day of carnage that saw the deaths of over 80 Christians in Pakistan, the mostly Muslim nation of Pakistan is rocked by a huge 7.8 earthquake where hundreds have been killed.  Then as always seems to be the case, when a large earthquake occurs on one side of the planet, a similar sized earthquake occurs on the other.  Today Peru was rocked by a 6.8 mag. earthquake, (no reports of deaths in that one so far).

Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains. Mark 13:8 NIV

45 killed as 7.8 earthquake strikes Pakistan, shaking felt in New Delhi
At least 45 people have been killed in an earthquake measuring 7.8 which struck southwest Pakistan on Tuesday. Tremors were felt across the region and as far as New Delhi, with the disaster creating a 'new island' in its wake. The local deputy commissioner in Awaran, Abdul Rasheed Gogazai, and the spokesman of Pakistan's Frontier Corps involved in the rescue efforts told Reuters that at least 45 people have been killed. Local media placed the death toll much higher. At least 150 people were killed as a result of the earthquake, the Deputy Speaker of Pakistan’s Balochistan Assembly, Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo,  said on Tuesday evening, according to reports from Pakistan’s English-language daily, The Express Tribune. The US Geological Survey has measured the quake at 7.8 magnitude after it struck Balochistan, just 69 km north-northeast of Awaran, the nearest city. A “RED” alert was issued by the agency meaning estimated fatalities of over 1,000 and damages costing over $1 billion.
