Lightning Strikes Vatican After Pope's Resignation

Prophecy Sign:  Satan will be cast down to Earth

So very shortly after the Pope's resignation, a lightning bolt zapped the top of the Vatican, (see video below).  Now we are sure the Vatican has been zapped before, but we find the timing of this lightning bolt to be a little more than a coincidence.

Something similar happened right before the Arab Spring sprung to life.  A UFO dropped down to just above the Doom of the Rock Mosque in Jerusalem before rocketing skyward and out of sight, (video below).  We all know what happened after that little light show, as the Middle-East exploded into revolution as dictator after dictator fell, with many Arab nations still in turmoil, (Egypt, Syria, Tunisia).  Might something similar now be in the works for the Roman Church and the world? We all know of the Prophecy of the Popes which suggests that the coming new Pope will be the one who is at the head of the Catholic Church during the coming Tribulation period.

So just what or who is represented by these UFO's and Lightning bolts, if anything?  Could they be representative of dark forces which rule over this world?  We know for a fact that there are dark forces of the angelic realm who oversee certain nations.  In the book of Daniel we are told that there is a Prince of Persia, (Daniel 10:13), who withstood the angel Gabriel for 21 days, until another angel, (Michael), came to lend assistance.  This tells us that indeed, there are inter-dimensional beings, (angels and demons), who are involved in the affairs of the nations of the world.

We are also told that there is to be a coming war in Heaven in which Michael and the angels will fight against Satan and his horde.  Michael will be victorious and Satan will be cast to earth for the duration of the Tribulation, (he won't be a happy camper).  In another passage of scripture, we are told that Satan will actually fall like lightning as he plummets from Heaven.

Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back.  But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. Revelation 12:7-9 NIV

He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Luke 10:18 NIV

Are we saying that the lightning bolt that struck the Vatican is Satan cast to earth?  NO.  That war  in Heaven has not occurred yet, as it will not be until half way through the seven years of Tribulation when Satan and his angels are kicked to Earth.  This will begin the Great Tribulation.  What we are saying is that we may be on the precipice of some major coming events which will culminate in the Rapture of the Church, and the beginning of the Tribulation period.  Perhaps the Vatican lightning shot was a warning from God of events to come?

Lightning Strikes Vatican After Pope's Resignation
They say timing is everything. On Feb. 11, 2013, Pope Benedict XVI announced his resignation, making him the first pontiff in 600 years to do so. Hours after the shocking announcement, lighting struck St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. Just a coincidence?

  1. The war in heaven happened already...Satan has been on this earth since Adam and eve. When Christ came down to earth before his crucifixion the devil took him to the top of the highest mountain and tried to tempt him by saying that he would give him the earth if he would bow down and worship him...

  2. NO SUCH THING AS PRE-TRIB. READ HEBREWS 11;ALL
NONE OF THE APOSTLES/DISCIPLES ESCAPED PERSECUTION. AND NEITHER WILL WE. I BELIEVE WE WILL GO THROUGH MOST OF THE TRIBULATION, BUT LIKE THE ISRAELITES THEY LIVED IN THE LAND OF GOSHEN. THEY ESCAPED THE PLAGUES OF EGYPT. THEY SAW THE PLAGUES. WE WILL GO THROUGH SOME OF THE TRIBULATION. WHY SHOULD WE ESCAPE WHEN WE STRUGGLE TO SERVE THE ALMIGHTY. WE HAVE NOT TOTALLY SURRENDERED TO HIM. WE LOVE EGYPT AND ALL IT HAS TO OFFER US. WE HAVEN'T GIVEN UP ANYTHING TO SERVE HIM. JUST MY OPINION!

  4. Lots of comments, and thanks for posting. Starting from the first post:

    1) No, Satan is not yet cast down to Earth. He can roam through the second heavens and on Earth, but not until the war in Heaven with Michael, will he be cast to Earth with no more ability to enter the Heavens. It's at this point when he realizes his time is short. Re-read Revelation 12 again.

    2) Yes there is a Pre-Tribulation rapture of the Bride of Christ. You are confusing the judgements and tribulations that every Christian goes through here on earth inflicted by Satan and Mankind. The future judgements of the Tribulation are judgements from God. He has promised to remove the Bride of Christ from those coming events. Revelation 3:10, 1 Thessalonians 5:9. Why would Jesus Christ wish to judge the righteous along with the unrighteous? Oh and next time take the cap locks off.

    3) The eagle over the war ship? That's easy. That fulfils the prophecy which states that a war ship will return to port after many days at sea. I'm surprised you didn't know that one. And by the way, I'm not Jack Van Impe, but thanks for the compliment.

Regards everyone, and keeping looking up for your redemption drawth night.....(even for you post-tribers)

  5. Satan was cast down to earth when Jesus ascended to heaven after His crucifixion. He and his fallen angels have been roaming the earth for almost 2,000 years.

  6. Yes Satan is the ruler of the world, but he still has access to the Heavens. It will be during the coming Tribulation period when Satan is banished to Earth with no access whatsoever to the Heavenly realms. It is at this point when Satan's wrath becomes exceedingly great, as is foretold in Revelation:

Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.” Revelation 12:12 NIV

  9. Satan was cast out of heaven from the beginning but still had access somewhat in the way of distant conversation with angels but as a rebel was not allowed within its immediate precinct. In that sense he was not fully cast out. However, the Bible in Revelation 12 speaks to a time when salvation will come and Satan will be cast down. Thus heaven rejoiced because the Devil is no longer welcome to speak to any of the loyal angels in heaven. This salvation was produced by the death of Christ.

This casting out is alluded to in the gospel of John saying,

"Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
This he said, signifying what death he should die." John 12:31-33

The death of Jesus has done something to Satan that makes his situation much different from what it was before. He was cast out as a direct result of the death of Christ on Calvary's cross. The apostle Paul speaks of the significance of the death of Christ to the Devil being totally cast out of heaven once and for all in the following remarks:

    "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it." Colosians 2:14-16

Jesus on the cross has triumphed over Satan and his hosts (principalities and powers) exposing them as nothing but a set of murderers of the Son of God. When the angels of heaven behold the sight of Christ expiring on the cross at the hand of wicked men instigated by Satan, the last thread of sympathy for Lucifer (Satan) was broken. It is in that sense that he was cast out.

  10. satan and his angels are in the spiritual realm, they possess unsaved people, people who have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and savior. And through these people he accomplishes his work on earth. It's called voodoo. The dead that this religion that is the true religion of satan pulls up the fallen angels from the demonic realm that they are bound into and possess willing initiates. The catholic church is his earthly church, and his spiritual church is voodoo. These are the people actually making shifts in the spiritual and is reflected in the natural or physical world.
