No peace or security until settlers leave Jerusalem, Abbas says

Prophecy Sign:  Jerusalem - a cup of trembling to all nations

Isn't Israel and the Palestinian Authority supposed to be negotiating a peace deal?  Pretty hard to do when the Palestinian President declares Jerusalem to be a Muslim and Christian city and that Jews, (Israelis), must leave the city before any peace treaty is forthcoming.  We're pretty sure Israel is not going to except that condition in any way, shape or form.

Jerusalem continues to be a cup of trembling and an unmovable rock for all those that think they have a plan of peace for the ancient holy city.  Only Jesus Christ, who counts Jerusalem a treasured possession, will be able to develop a peace plan that will last a millennium.

"I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves. Zechariah 12:2-3 NIV

No peace or security until settlers leave Jerusalem, Abbas says
Jerusalem is a Muslim and Christian city, and there will be neither peace nor security until the Israeli occupation, settlements, and settlers leave the city, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said on Tuesday. Abbas made the remarks in a statement published in commemoration of the 43rd anniversary of the torching of Jerusalem’s al-Aqsa Mosque by Denis Michael Rohan, an Australian Christian, Israel Radio reported. Rohan entered the mosque on the Temple Mount on August 21, 1969, and set the building alight. He was tried and found clinically insane, and hospitalized in Israel until his repatriation five years later.

Jerusalem: A Cup of Trembling (Zech. 12)
According to Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas, Israeli Jews are "occupiers" of Jerusalem, with no historical connection to "the city that will forever be Arabic, Islamic, and Christian." Abbas made his remarks in a statement marking an incident 43 years ago when a fanatic Australian named Denis Michael Rohan, who called himself "the Lord's emissary," set fire to the al-Aksa mosque on the Temple Mount. In terminology borrowed from Israel's description of Jerusalem as the eternal, undivided capital of the Jewish people, Abbas warned there would be "no peace or stability before our beloved city and eternal capital is liberated from occupation and settlement."
