Earthquake swarms on the West Coast of North America

Prophecy Sign:  Earthquakes in diverse places

The only section of the infamous Ring of Fire that hasn't seen a major earthquake in the last few years is the North American west coast.  We've seen major earthquakes in Chile, (8.8), Indonesia, (9.2) and Japan, (9.0), so is North America next?  We wonder given the small swarms of recent earthquakes that are occurring up and down the fault lines of the west coast.

An ongoing swarm of small earthquakes is rattling homes and nerves in the Inland Empire. Over the weekend, there were a handful of new quakes near Devore, Idyllwild and Indio. The Devore quake on Saturday morning measured 3.8. The recent earthquakes have been near the San Andreas Fault, that ominous crack in the Earth that threatens SoCal with the “Big One.”

Experts say a "swarm" of small earthquakes off the northwest coast of Vancouver Island are part of the normal seismic activity in the area, and they could continue for several more days. A 4.0 magnitude earthquake that struck just after midnight on Tuesday morning was the eighth small quake with a magnitude between 3.8 and 4.7 to strike the region since April 22.  Pacific Geoscience Centre Seismologist Gary Rogers said the activity is focused along a 20-kilometre stretch along an area called the Raveer Delwood Fault, located about 200 kilometres offshore.
