UFOs in Montreal? Strange sights reported

Well it's not October 13th yet, (see previous post about UFO's on that date), but already mysterious triangled shaped objects are appearing above major cities such as Montreal. We believe we are very close to what is known as the Rapture of the Church.  It is obvious that the demonic realm of Satan knows this fact as well.

Europe-wide protests kick off over austerity measures

We posted yesterday about the riots and protests going on in Europe over government plans to cut back expenditures.  We also noted that this is only the prelude to the real economic storm heading our way.

EU chief diplomat visits Mideast

We noted yesterday that the European Union wanted a larger role in the current mid-east peace talks.  We also noted the significance of that desire.  Now this article further confirms the E.U.s desire to have a say in what happens between the Palestinians and Israel. 
As we said yesterday, most bible prophecy experts point to the European Union as the prelude to the revived Roman Empire.  From this empire, will arise a global world leader who will "confirm" an agreement or covenant with Israel and the world.  This agreement of seven years will be broken halfway through when the Antichrist enters the rebuilt Jewish temple and declares himself to be God.  The final 3 1/2 years of the seven year period is known as the Great Tribulation.

In a Computer Worm, a Possible Biblical Clue

So have you heard?  There is a war going on already in the Middle-East.  A cyberwar which so far, has been one sided.  Seems Iran is suffering with a major computer worm which has infected thousands if not millions of computer networks, delaying the start up date of Iran's nuclear reactor which was supposed to go online several weeks back.  It was hard to fathom at the time why the Israelis did not attack the Iranian nuclear facility before it was fueled in preparation for a startup.  Well it turns out those sneaky but brilliant Israeli computer geeks came up with a way to shut everything down without costing a life.  Of course Israel denies everything....wink, wink.

India to compile 'world's biggest' ID database

If you question the possibility of a global system where everyone will be required to have a mark or number before being allowed to buy or sell, (Revelation 13), you need not look any further than India.  That nation is establishing a huge database which will contain more than a one billion citizens.  Each person will be assigned a unique number with all of their bio-metric information attached to that number.  Now if this isn't as close as possible to the "Mark of the Beast" as you can get, we don't know what is.

US Dollar Is 'One Step Nearer' to Crisis

Sarkozy seeks greater role for EU in Middle East talks

So now the French President wants a greater role for the E.U. in any mid-east peace talks.  This is very important in that the bible tells us that the head of the revived Roman Empire, the Antichrist, will confirm a covenant, (or peace agreement), with Israel and the nations for a period of seven years.  Most bible prophecy experts consider the European Union to be the early formulation of what will become the 10 kingdom federation that the prophet Daniel and the Apostle John saw in the respective visions of the future.

Not a day goes by now where we don't read another article or two about the growing intrusiveness of government in the name of "security".  This intrusiveness is quickly turning into a police state where every citizen will eventually be monitored to ensure they are not a threat to the State.  The problem is, who decides what is considered a threat?  Will Christians one day be considered a threat and thus, targeted by the state? We are being watched from space by satellites, watched by closed circuit cameras stationed everywhere, and soon to be watched through our digital cable systems.  Our cell phone calls are picked off the air and analyzed for certain key words and the government wants to take over the internet and monitor all correspondence and communications.

Swarm of 30,000 Earthquakes Reveals Volcanic Potential

Seems there may well be another supervolcano, besides the one under Yellowstone National Park.  Scientists now see similar seismic readings in Saudi Arabia as they have recently seen in the Yellowstone region of America.

Wiretapped phones, now Internet?

We were watching a news broadcast this evening about this proposed new U.S. federal law which would seek to give law enforcement the ability to wire-tap not only phone conversations, but all internet communications as well.  One of the proponents of this new law actually had the audacity to say that safety trumps your expectation of a private conversation.  We are sure Benjamin Franklin would have given that individual a stern civics lesson in personal liberties and freedoms.

Mideast Peace Talks on Brink of Collapse

Abdullah: If freeze issue not settled, war may follow

As we speculated a day or two ago, might the breakdown in talks between Israel and the Palestinians be the catalyst to war?  Seems we weren't the only ones.  Jordan's King Abdullah goes further by stating that war could break out before the end of this year if no agreement is achieved.

Does Barack Obama dream of becoming UN Secretary General?

North and South Korea on the brink of war, Russian diplomat warns

We had not heard much lately about the situation on the Korean penninsula.  If you remember, earlier the summer, tensions were very high between the North and the South after the sinking of a South Korean warship.  The main suspect was North Korea, who of course denied everything.  Seems the situation still simmers near the boiling point.

This sounds like something straight out of the program, UFO Hunters.  Disc shaped objects interfering with military programs.  If you have done any studying on the UFO phenomenon, you will know that UFO sightings and events have exploded in recent years.  Thousands of events have occurred throughout the world, (most recently some rather strange events over the international airports in China).  The exponential growth of this phenomenon coincidentally started in 1948....the rebirth of Israel as a nation.  So what's up with all the visitations?
The bible somewhat cryptically tells us that there will be fearful events and great signs from heaven, (Luke 21:11), and that people will be strongly deluded into believing The Lie, (2 Thessalonians 2:11).  What events and what kind of lie?  We usually assume solar flairs or falling meteors to be the fearful events, and something the Antichrist says or does to be the lie.  But what if it may have something to do with outer worldly visitations …
